meal deal question

I am a little confused about the dining plan. If my wife and I were going to purchase the meal plan and it is unlimited meals, why would i not just get one meal ticket a day and make two trips through the line for both of us?

Because the dining plan is for one person, so what you would be doing is basically theft?

If there are no stipulations on the ticket then there is no theft involve. What I am asking is, is there any stipulation on this?

Im sure when I read it on the Universal website, it stated it was for one person, and could not be shared.

The meal deal is for one person only. If you went on line twice to feed 2 people having made only one purchase, you would be stealing. If there were no stipulations, every person would do this, and you'd have families of 7 eating all they could for $21.99 per day total.

Don't ruin it for the rest of us, dude. Seriously.

I read this about the Meal Deal:

"Two Park Meal Deals are only available at the Parks. You will be given a wristband indicating that you have purchased the Meal Deal. You must be wearing the wristband to receive the Meal Deal. The Meal Deal is available daily from 11 a.m. until 30 minutes prior to park closing, and is valid for one entree platter (described below) and one dessert (usually a cookie, mini-Bundt cake or Jell-O parfait, dependent on restaurant) per trip through the food service line."

My oldest son is constantly eating - breakfast, lunch, supper and then asks me to warm up leftovers around
8:30. He's thin as a rail too, really unfair when I gain weight just by looking at it. :(

Anyhow, to my question - are you limited to how many trips through the line you can make that are for yourself? We'd all get our own wristbands but say in the evening he was hungry like he usually is, could he get a 3rd meal that day for himself?

Now if I could just figure out a way to transfer some of his metabolism to me ... that's an entirely different post though. :)

My 8yr old son is the same--I swear he eats more than me. yet he's the one with the visible ribs and I'm the one who could easily stand to lose 30lbs.

ANYWAY-Yes, he can take 20 trips through the line. He can also get a dessert only if he wants.

Mark me down as someone who easily could stand to lose 30 pounds with a son who's ribs show too!

Thanks for the reply too, I didn't know that he'd be able to just get a dessert if he wanted. My 7 year old will like that. His ribs show too but he doesn't really eat much. PB & J and cookies are staples for him.

unlimited.
you could get just a dessert if you chose to.
you could go 3 times in the line again if you were still hungry at the same resturaunt.

DH and I both bought the $24.99 meal plan on Saturday. We bought it at a gift shop that had the sign out front. The girls behind the counter told us that the Citywalk dinner was no longer included, even though it was still being advertised on the signs and brochures. So we asked for a manager.

The manager came out and told us the same thing -- Citywalk dinners are no longer included in the meal plan. She said it was a trial, but it's been discontinued and they no longer have dinner coupons.

We bought it anyway, thinking that it was still a good deal to eat at both parks. When we got to the first restaurant, we got our wristbands, and I asked the cashier about the Citywalk thing. She said she never heard that it was discontinued and she gave us all coupons for our Citywalk dinner! We had dinner at Bob Marley's (very good!) and they never said anything about it being discontinued either! Very weird.

I had the Jerk Chicken and DH had the Mariner Blackened Tilapia sandwich. Both were good, but the fish could have been bigger. It didn't fill the bun. But, since it was included in the meal plan, we had no complaints!! :goodvibes

The only reason I purchased the plan was because the Citywalk meal is included. The website even lists what entrees can be ordered at each restaurant. It's pretty sad that a manager doesn't even know what's going on! I did notice that Citywalk is not included during July and I think August as well, but the website is very specific about it not being included and the tickets are different (and $1 more!)

I think we are going to eat at Latin Quarter.

Maybe she was confused between the 1-park and the 2-park meal tickets. That's a shame! At least the people who provided the wristbands were able to set it straight. With three always-hungry teenagers, we'll probably try the meal deal on our next trip.
