If using this one-day meal deal at Universal Studios, are there any exceptions what you can pick from the three locations that are participating? Any other desserts available besides the cookie and dry cake item? The dessert offerings do not sound very appealing to me. Say at Louie's you get a slice a pizza, can you get back in line also get a salad?

Thank you,
m

not sure, think you would have to go back to the UO site and read the set up, restrictions and places.

it is also offered at IOA.

Ok, we used this last weekend, YES you can get back in line and get salad or another pizza or anything you want from the meal deal menu.
I would agree that the deserts are GROSS! It is something they need to improve on with this deal.
I see you noted a cookie and dry cake (its lemon), they also have a red white and blue parfett (jello and whip cream).

ALSO, the lines took us no less then 30 minutes each time we went up, it was CRAZY long and very anoying to say the least. So if youthink you will need to go up more then once, be prepaired to spend plenty of time in there and not on rides etc.

If you get the meal deal, are there special lines just for "meal deal" people??

No you stand in the regular lines.

If you go during off peak hours, the lines aren't as bad. We went Mel's diner when it first opened and there was no lines. By the time we were done eating, the lines where huge. We went to Circus McGurkus around 1:00 and the lines were huge but we waited. When we went to Comic Book Cafe around 4:00 the lines were short.

The desserts were only jello, lemon bundt cake or a chocolate cake.

Thanks MamaKate!!
I was afraid we would have to stand in a seperate line:scared1: ....glad to hear thats not the case!!

Just got back today, and we used the meal deal for 3 adults and 2 children... I did not think it was worth it because we hated the fact that we had to go back and eat at the park we had our first meal at (we did the one park meal deal ticket), and that we were limited to the restaurants participating.
Unless you eat A LOT then you are not saving that much money, at the end of the day the savings were less than $10 per meal.
Also, the kids meals are limited to 3 choices, and their food was a third of the size... my daughter had to go back and get seconds because the sandwiches were really small. The desserts were not good, so that did not add anything to the package...
So, for our family it did not work out....
