Hi Folks

Is it possible to take the ME to a hotel that you aren't staying at?

My sister's plane is coming in at 5:30pm and we are heading to MNSSHP that night. I was thinking if she could skip going to Pop (where we are staying) and go to the Contemporary it would save us some time b/c it's so close to MK.

Thanks for your help
Mandy

No, you need to take the DME to the hotel at which you have a reservation. The only loophole is that each bus goes to more than one hotel, so you could get off at another hotel on your route.

It seems to be somewhat random/somewhat planned as to which hotels go together.

I completely agree. You have to get on the DME bus for the hotel that you are registered at. Now no one will stop you from getting off at a different hotel on that same route but you won't be able to board a different DME bus other than the one that goes to your hotel.

Thanks for the info! I didn't think that it was possible but worth a try :)

Does anyone know the hotels on the POP loop? Is POP far from MK?

Thanks again for the help!

Pop is about twenty minutes from MK. I've never known of a DME bus to go to both Pop and an MK-area resort but - is everybody sitting down? - I don't know everything :umbrella:

The POP DME bus will, most likely, head to AKL (Kidani/Jambo House) and CSR...noplace near MK.

POP is almost always the first stop. Take a taxi from POP to the MK if you're running short on time (flight gets delayed)

:lmao:

Something else to bear in mind, even if you were to get off at a different resort, you have all your luggage with you - unless you just have carry on - and you can't take your luggage on Disney Transportation so you would need to arrange a cab to get it to where you wanted it to go. It seems like the OP already has her question answered, but thought I would mention it for the benefit of anyone else considering attempting something similar.

Agreed!! I got off at a different resort once, but I had only a very tiny day bag with me, nothing under the bus, and someone else had already "checked me in" to my resort.

I was going to Coronado Springs, but the bus stopped at PoP first. There was no reason for me to actually go to Coronado Springs first, so I got off the bus at Pop, hopped on a bus to Downtown Disney, where I met my roomate and got room key. By doing that I was able to make the Balderdash Cup for the evening!!!! (Which is a good thing, cause I was only able to make one more Adventurer's Club outing after that trip)
