ME & luggage question?

We loved the ME! It was so great to sit back and relax after the flight.

Ok we stayed at ASM. We arrived at 10:00 pm 'ish. After reading this board I packed a carry-on with our night clothes and clothes for the next day. When we arrived we went to bed and was sleeping by 11:00pm. Well around 2-2:30 am our luggage arrived at our room. We were awaken by loud knocking and the guy yelling luggage. He woke up our neighbors/family in the other rooms too. I was told by several people they did not deliver luggage at that hour. That's why we used the tags.

Ok is this the norm? Just asking so we avoid this next trip?

Unless otherwise told, DME will assume that you wish for luggage delivery.

In order for them to not deliver the luggage, one must verbally tell a cast member that you wish to delay the delivery of your luggage till morning. As an added precaution, in case that CM is unable to relay the message, one should use the "Do Not Disturb" sign.

Thanks for replying.

We asked when making the reservation. She said it would be noted on our account. We asked the CM at the front desk like the ME driver told us to do. She assured us it would not arrive earlier than 7am. As for the do not disturb sign we did not have one in our room. I did go pick one up at the front desk the next morning.
