ME - Luggage etc...

If our flight arrives at MCO at 10:15 pm, should we grab our luggage and then head to ME desk? Or should we take a carry-on with an extra set of clothes and get the luggage delivered to the room next day? We don't normally take a carry-on with clothes...we only carry-on meds, mp3 players, gameboys books etc.....

Departing flight is at 7:00 am, what time will we need to board ME? I see that we can't check luggage at the resort (Delta) until 5:00 am, so my assumption is we'll have to curb check at airport?

If it were me, I would pack a carry-on with PJs and tomorrow's park clothes.

Then upon arrival at the resort tell Bell Services to deliver luggage next morning at their convenience.

Then we would be up bright and early and off to the parks.

If you have a 7:00 am flight home, then pickup will be approximately 4am. Yes, you will have to transport your luggage under the ME bus to the airport and use curbside checkin or go to the ticket counter.

You should pack a change of clothes (and nightclothes) in carry on luggage in case the AIRLINE misdirects or loses your luggage. But, yes, if you want to not take advantage of this very convenient and easy feature of DME: don't attach the yellow tags, do go to baggage claim and wait for and retrieve your checked luggage, then haul it down to the DME counter where you'll register, then haul it to the bus for the driver to load underneath...

It's good to know that you can do that. We will have a similarly timed flight and was worried about the luggage arriving in the room very late. We'll definitely grab the bags ourselves and then head over to ME.

And you are correct in your assumption about your departing 7 a.m. flight. You won't have time to check your luggage through. It has to be no less than 3 hrs before the flight. I had a 7 a.m. flight and changed it to a later, and cheaper, flight. So, yep, you'll be checking your stuff curbside if you wish.
