ME.....How long from plane to resort?

Our flight is scheduled to arrive at approx. 11:00 AM. Is it safe to assume that we will arrive at the AKL before 1:00 PM. I would expect ME to be running pretty smoothly by the time December rolls around.

The biggest unknown factor is if your flight will actually arrive at the scheduled time. If it does, then allowing two hours to get from your gate to the check-in desk at your resort should be fine, based on the experiences that people have posted in the forum. It could be substantially faster if your timing is lucky -- in other words, if your ME coach departs shortly after you board and if you're the first stop. (However, it's unlikely that AKL would be the first stop because it's in a remote corner of the WDW property, and the coach is likely pass other resorts on the way and stop at a couple of those first.)

Assuming your flight lands on time...I would think so. We landed at 6pm, and we were at our resort by 7pm. But there was no line at the ME checkin desk either, so that's probably a big contingency.

Hi Mickeep,

You're right, I think a lot will have changed in terms of improvements by the time you go. But... it looks like you will be arriving at the busiest time of year and from a cold weather place so both of those factors could hold things up a bit.

Having said that, two hours from the time you land seems more than reasonable!

AKL is likely to be the last stop. I'd be concerned with flight delays in December. Although 1:00p sounds reasonable I wouldn't make any plans that are set in stone that early. I certainly wouldn't make a CRT reservation for lunch on my arrival day.

I could be wrong but I read somwhere that the buses that go to AKL stop there first and then go to the All Stars...

As discussed in the thread, "ME- Anyone know the order of stops on each route?" there are no fixed routes for the ME motor coaches. The resorts served vary, based on demand. The drivers choose an efficient drop-off order, usually begining with the closest resort from the airport.

There may very well be cases when a coach stops at AKL lodge before All Stars. And there may very well be cases when AKL is the last stop.
