We usually take a flight that gets us in around 9 or 10am and on a weekday. This trip we land at noon on a Saturday. I am pretty sure it is no food and drink on the buses. So what do most people do with young kids (4 and 6). Do you pack a bagel and snack and eat on the plane or do you grab something at the airport. If so where in the airport have you grabbed a quick bite. At 12 how crazy is ME on a Saturday? Is it reasonable to expect we would be at the hotel (POR) by 2 if we don't eat or closer to 3. We are anxious to get out of the airport but I would hate to skip eating, go to ME only to find a 90 wait to board a bus. We have been very lucky in the past with ME. Have never waited in line. The first time we were 1st in line and the new bus pulled up, and left 10 mins later. Second time we got there as they were boarding the bus but we waited 20 or so before we left. I understand weekends are not as smooth.

We have always arrived on a Saturday. If we get off the plane after 12:00 we usually head to the food court and grab a slice of pizza before heading down to ME. It only adds about 15 minutes to our travel time and we feel better knowing we won't be hungry on the journey to our resort. If we arrive before noon, we will usually wait and eat at our resort or at a counter service restaurant at a park. We have never waited more than 25 minutes for a ME bus.

I always travel with some kind of snacks.....as an adult! When I traveled with my dd, back when she was younger, we always had a sandwich and chips with us. If we had an early morning flight, we brought bagels/cream cheese. Would buy drinks at the airport.. Later flight? Sandwiches from home. You can eat at the airport or on the plane...depends on time of flight. I seldom grab anything at MCO upon arrival. We just want to get to our resort! Plan on 90 mins, from gate to resort. Will probably be less.

Things change quickly back and forth at the Magical Express welcoming area.

Meanwhile the average delay in reaching your resort if you stop at the airport food court first is still approximately equal to the delay getting to the welcoming area by going to the food court. It would require too many words and too many scientific terms to explain why.

We will already be traveling with some breakfast and snacks already bc the flight is at 9 am and so we will be at the airport around 7. But I know between breakfast and snacks they will still probably be hungry. It is less of an issue if we get to the hotel around 130 than if it is 230 or 3. Maybe a plain bagel or some bars might work in case they need to eat something additional.

As PP have mentioned, I'd pack some extra snacks for the plane. I often pack cheese and crackers, grapes, and baby carrots if we are going to be on the plane at a meal time.

Play it by ear. If you think your kids are still really hungry when you land, go ahead and stop at the food court at the airport.

How do you keep the cheese cold? I didn't think you could pack ice?

You can use frozen grapes.

This is true, but

Cheese is fine for several hours without refrigeration

This is also true.

I grab it out of the fridge right before we leave for the airport and pack it with the cold grapes and carrots in a soft sided cooler. It's fine for the couple hours until it's eaten.

Frozen peas or corn make great chillers!! As already mentioned, pack the bags of frozen veggies in a soft sided cooler with your snacks. They should be fine for quite awhile...then either toss the veggies when you get to your destination or keep them to refreeze for the trip home!
