Will it be a problem or confusing for ME if we start our stay at one resort and end up at another? Is there any rule that says drop off and pick up have to be from the same location? Will they get confused, screw up the return pick-up, and be looking for us at the All-Stars when we're at WL? Not sure if anyone has dealt with ME on a split resort stay. :confused3

When we split-stay, we just make sure to "remind" the CM's at our final resort to double-check our DME departure locations. As long as we ask them nicely, they're unbelievably pleasant to deal with :thumbsup2 . The Disney reorts and DME are very used to your situation; please don't stress  .
Have a wonderful time! :yay:

Okay, first, nobody will be "looking" for you. It's up to you to be at the pickup spot before your scheduled time; if you're not there, you don't ride.
As long as you're staying at the pickup resort on the pickup day, no problem. What DME won't do is let you board a bus at a different resort from where you're staying, to get back to the airport. You'd be taking seats someone else was scheduled to use.
When you get to your second resort, take a few minutes to stop at the DME desk to make sure they have your return information.

From what I understand, split-stays have 2 different reservation numbers. You'll need a DME reservation for each resort reservation number. Of ocurse, each will be one-way, and make sure they know that.

Okay, now onto Ronda. RONDA: HUH???!!! Has the heat been getting to you? I've NEVER seen you give incorrect info before, here or at that other place. BUT (putting hands in pockets, whistling, looking downward, kicking toe into ground) ... you just advised someone to check with the DME desk at their second resort. A DME desk at a resort? Is that something new??? Ronda, please tell me you either know of something new at WDW, or recently started taking a strong narcotic painkiller or something like that. :confused3

We've done a split stay with ME before. When we made the room reservations, The CM just put in our arrival info for the 1st reservation (and left the departure blank). Then he put our departure info for our second reservation (leaving the arrival blank). Basically you will have a one way trip booked for each of your reservations. We also got two ME packets, one for each reservation. When we arrived at the airport, the CM we checked in at the DME desk with confirmed all of the info. No problems at all.

Also the inter-resort luggage delivery was nice and easy too.

Disney's Magical Express includes a Resort Airline Check-in desk. I've never asked them to assist me with my bus transportation but I assume they'd either help me, give me a number to call or refer me to the resorts concierge (formerly guest services) desk in order to handle any required changes.

The easiest thing is just to confirm your outgoing flight and resort information when you check-in at the DME desk at MCO.
