We received our Magical Express Package in the mail today.
This is probably a simple question and I probably never took notice to this ---

On the first page and first line, it states to retain your baggage claim ticket provided by my airline at check in because I will need it at the Orlando Airport.

I do not remember getting baggage claim tickets at the airport before, is this new? Or is it something I never took notice to before because no one has ever asked for it before?

Trust me, you ALWAYS get baggage claim tickets. They're usually very small and are stapled to the inside of a ticket jacket or something like that. If the airline ever lost your luggage, you would need that ticket to prove you actually checked luggage with them in the first place. In some airports, security guards (not TSA people) will not allow you to leave baggage claim without showing that your claim tickets match the numbers on your airline luggage tags.

When you check in your luggage they put baggage tickets on each one of your pieces and then hand you the rest of it which is your baggage claim tickets. They usually stick them in the envelope with your boarding passes.
