ME and late airport arrival

We will be arriving at 10:40 p.m. on May 26th. Anybody have any idea when we might get our luggage at AKL that evening if we decide to go with ME? Of course, we'll probably want to go right to bed, so I'd plan on carrying overnight things in a carry on....BUT, when do you think they would deliver our bags? The next morning, perhaps?

Just curious if any one has any ideas, I realize that at this point it is all speculation!

I'm wondering this too as I am arriving at midnight so I will be even later getting in. Although there will be very few people arriving at that time so it should be quick, I would think that the trucks will go a little faster than the busses. Maybe if you are lucky it will be 10 - 15 minutes after checkin until delivery.

I will be trying this on the 19th and getting back on the 25th so I can tell you in the AM of the 26th as to how this works exactly. Hopefully someone will be doing this before us so that we will have an answer!

DME will be tracking your flight, and will extend thier hours for late arrivals. As for luggage, my guess is that it will be sent out on the last truck of the night, and will arrive shortly.

Thanks for the replies....I'm interested to hear how it goes for you, ktglads. I too hope that the luggage delivery will be quick at that time of night. Of course, I'll go ahead and plan for the worst case scenario! Chip& Dale...your expertise is appreciated as usual.

A fair number of flights land between 10:00-11:00p. The question is how many guests will be using ME and how many may just be staying at an airport hotel for the night.

The question we don't know is how long Disney will hold the luggage truck or even the passengers if one or two flights with a handful of guests is scheduled to arrive in 45 minutes. I'd hope they'd have some vans they could use rather than waiting to fill up a bus. I'd think this would be an issue, in the case of flight delays, for last few flights of the night.

I hope they don't hold the luggage truck and make one run very late at night.

Let's say a flight is delayed till 2 in the morning. Are they going to hold the luggage truck for those on the 10:00 pm flight till this last flight with "1" bag comes in???

It's not my expertise talking here... I'm just speculating based on the information that I've read... only time will truly tell.
