Hi Everyone

Any recommendations on how I can find out who the MDR Servers where on a particular cruise? We cruised April/May 2014 Fantasy Western Carribean trip and had the best server but have forgotten his name :( His assistant was Ben. We have a photo of him but have lost his details. Booking again for April 2016 and would luv to check if he is still with DCL doing Eastern Carribean on Fantasy second cruise in April. TIA

Did you keep your gratuity receipt? The names/positions are on that.

You said you have a photo of him. Post it here maybe someone will know his name.

DCL has helped me with this very issue in the past. I emailed "dcl.reservations@disneycruise.com" with my name and res number and they were able to pull the server's name for me.

In our case, the gentleman went by "Ashang" but we found out later that his full first name was "Ningreishang". No way we ever would have guessed that.

Great will try this - thanking you!!! Correction: Friends are traveling in April 2016 and I was going to suggest the same server to our friends. We get to travel again in April 2017 - Eastern Carribean on The Fantasy so trying to hit 2 birds with one stone so to speak.

I think the names are also on the dining tickets that are left in the room but I could be mistaken. I could be thinking of the gratuity receipt (the ones that used be yellow like the dining tickets).

Thanks MJ - I looked at mine but no details. I think they were on the gratuity receipt which of course is the only thing I didnt keep from our trip.. Have emailed DCL - hoping they can help. Lots of planning to do when traveling from Australia. lol

Hi. You said you have a photo? Can you read his name tag/country from the photo?

To follow up on the original question, is there a way to find out if your favorite server is on a particular ship? I would LOVE to request a specific server, but I don't even know if he is still with DCL. Certainly wouldn't know which ship he will be on at the time of our cruise.

Will let you know Crush - I have asked DCL that question as well. Also asked if I am ble to find out our main server in the MDR from our cruise. :) Email address that I used is above in one of the other posts - posted by another helpful member from DIS.

Here is what I send in. Has worked twice. The one time it didn't work was because I asked for a specific dining rotation that wasn't compatible with my server's rotation.

Hello,

My family and I will be cruising on the SHIP on CRUISE DATE, and we would like to make a server request. For your reference, our reservation number is: XXXXXXXX/LASTNAME.

The server's name is SERVER NAME; (s)he has been our server on two prior sailings and does a fantastic job. We understand that (s)he may no longer be working with DCL, may be on a different ship, or may just be in-between contracts when my family sails. However, if (s)he is serving on the SHIP on the CRUISE DATE sailing, would would really like to have him/her as our server again.

Anything you can do to help would be most appreciated. Thank you!

You will get this generic email in response:

Dear FIRSTNAME,

Thank you for choosing another Disney Cruise Line vacation!

I would be happy to assist you.

We are glad to learn that you enjoyed your recent cruise and the server
you experienced when dining. Although not guaranteed, the names of the
server (SERVER NAME) has been noted on your reservations.

However, please note that our servers rotate from ship to ship and
through a variety of duties, which may not include serving in the dining
rooms. They work a variety of shifts and may, in fact, be scheduled for
days off or at the end of their contract on your next sailing. Please be
assured, though, that your new servers will be equally exceptional.

FIRSTNAME, I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance with any other inquiries, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you again!

Have a Magical Day!
