So we are going on a Girl Scout trip this week (pending hurricane 🌀) 4 adults, 12 girls. The leader that booked everything made two MDE accounts for this trip to manage everyone. She didn’t factor into account who was in what group. We have a division of thrill riders and tame riders. How easy is it to switch girls between groups? And also, can 2 people be signed in to the same MDE account at the same time? So 2 adults signed into the same group 1 MDE and 2 adults signed into same group 2 MDE? I guess if we mix and match girls by rides, having an adult with access to group 1 MDE and an adult with access to group 2 MDE paired together would make that easier.

I cannot speak to the diffiulty in shuffling girls between the two MDE groups (though, I can't imagine it would be that difficult). But I can confirm that multiple people can be signed into the same MDE account simultaneously. My family uses just my account in the parks and we have all used it to get Genie+ and DAS return times for each other, as well as create mobile orders.

That's not how it works.

I'm going in January with 11 people. 8 adults and 3 children. All of the adults have their own My Disney Experience account. All 8 adults are able to make plans for the entire group of 11, including the three children. They can also make plans for themselves as individuals, or any combination of people in the travel party. If my mom wants to book something for my sister and my daughter, that's fine. If my dad wants to plan something for all 11 of us, that's fine. If my brother-in-law wants to plan something just for himself, that's fine. This idea that everything should be made and managed under a single account for there to be a central planner is a myth.

The best practice is for every person over the age of 12 to have their own MDX profile, and for everyone to add everyone else as "Friends and Family." You could then add all of the under-13 kids under a single profile, or split them up and create them under various profiles. As long as you use Friends & Family, it does not matter which profile the kids are initially created under. This will not inhibit the ability of any of the adults to plan for the whole group.

I mean it's not recommended from a data security perspective. You're password-sharing on an account that has direct access to credit card charging, which is never a good idea.

This is how it’s set up though. And it’s 2 Girl Scout accounts that will be shared, not personal accounts. Ideally, I’d love for it to work out your way, but I’m not the one who set it up, I’m just trying to get it to work.

It is not easy at all to move girls back and forth between groups the way you set it up but that's not the correct question. You want to hook both groups together by using the friends and family feature so that whichever people are running the show will be able to make plans for all people or any subset as you may wish.
