I am experiencing problems with our MDE account. All of our friends and family is listed finally and I got all of our tickets and APs linked to each guest no problem. The problem lies with our reservations. We have two rooms booked but it is only showing one. When I try to link the other room it keeps telling me that the reservation cannot be located. I have called the tech number four times and they keep telling me they don't know why it is saying that because the reservation does exist. They say they will work on it. :confused3 It has been three weeks and still nothing is resolved. I hate to call again. I feel like a pest. How important is having both rooms listed in the account? I mean is this something that could cause us mega problems should the FP+ program be in full effect by our trip in november? I do have the hard copies for both reservations but I'm wondering if this MDE problem will have an affect on getting the magic bands for each of our travel party? I hope this isn't confusing to everyone because I really need to know if I have to call them again for help that they don't seem able to give me. :worried:
 
Can anyone tell me if having both reservations linked on our account is actually all that important? Especially where the FP+ program is concerned? Darn! I hate to have to call again. They don't seem to know anything either. They say they will fix it but nothing changes. I'm just afraid if the FP+ program begins for everyone by the time our trip rolls around we will miss something. Thanks everyone.
 
Well the thing is, even if it is important or not important, if they can't fix it, you just have to not let it bother you.

Since they are still testing and tweaking as they go, there is just certain areas that are still being worked on.

Try not to worry about it, as I don't think you can change it.

Are the two rooms at the same time?
 
I have 2 rooms booked for October. One for us and one for my daughter/family. Both show up under my MDE account. I've read that sometimes the lead name gets switched for another one in the party. Did you try changing the "name" when trying to link the reservation? Also, if the reservation does not have the same email on it, they both won't show up on your account. This happens often to dining reservations. I had my HDDR not show up and called MS. I asked her if the email and phone were the same as my account and she said both were not filled in. Once she filled in the information, I had no problem linking it to my account.
 

If your resort stay is eligible for MyMagic+ testing (MagicBands & FastPass+), yes you would need to have all room reservations linked to MDE in order for all of the listed guests to participate.

Do you have all of the guests listed on both reservations in your Family & Friends list?

Do all of the guests on the reservation you can't link have the same last name?
If not, try all of the different last names.

Did you check the travel plan details on the member website to make sure all of the last names are spelled correctly?
 
Don't feel bad....my MDE account was totally fine. DH showed up, our AP's were linked, our two resort ressies were there, dining. I was happy...

LOL

Then, they did a software update of some sort the weekend of Aug. 24-25. Account got totally messed up. My DH disappeared from my friends and family...it took a week and half with me calliing more than once for them to fix it.

His AP is still not showing and I called yesterday to check on it. They said it was escalated to The Avengers. LOL...

They also said to wait another week...

That's a total of almost three weeks....and I doubt it will be fixed by then...

If I were you, I'd keep calling. Not every day, but every other, or every few etc....

I know they are working through guests' issues by check in date....when is your trip?
 
Thanks everyone for your quick responses. I guess Sammie is right and I shouldn't worry about it. We have tried everything. Our daughter and family do have a different name and we tried that. Also checked the email address and everything seems to be right. The tech CM could not figure out why the reservation can't be linked. All of the friends and family are there as are our tickets and APs. Just that second room which is at the same time as our room. Our son and his stepson will be in that studio and their name is the same as ours. It is so confusing even to the tech workers. MS got everything right. The problem lies with the MDE account. :confused3 I guess I will keep calling. They are going to be sick of me I'm afraid. Thanks again folks. I really do appreciate the input.
 
Well after two more lengthy phone calls all of our reservations are now showing on our MDE account. Whew! Now however, my name has been omitted from our room. DH is listed twice and I am gone. :confused3 My name is listed with the friends and family and my AP is linked to my name but I guess I'm not staying anywhere. Sleeping in the car perhaps? I really really don't want to make another call to them so I hope this isn't anything important. My name is on the hard copy so I don't think there will be a problem at check in. At least I hope not. If you are going to use MagicBands and FP+, you will want to get all the names listed correctly in MDE. It appears as if MagicBands are rolling out to all resort guests now. Yesterday, more resorts were included in the Oct group for MagicBands and FP+.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I had better make another call before we end up getting the magicbands for everyone but me. :furious: This is really getting to be a pain in the neck.
