MDE, not impressive at all

Does this note ever go away. The time will come when I WILL need to order some MBs.

I had that message for weeks. I had to call Disney IT (407) 939-4357) and they did a "hard refresh" of my resort reservations. That fixed the problem. Others have reported being told that they had too much information in their MDE accounts and had to create a new one.

Yeah my MDE is overloaded and the only solution is to have IT (can't do yourself) move all current (future) items to new MDE account with an email I've never used before at Disney. (No you can't just delete old magicbands.) Small issues have been happening for over a year - e.g., I can't see AP rates often - but since a few months ago I now have no MagicBands or cards on the website (when I should have dozens for my family). That is what prompted me to call IT and then create a new thread on this forum to see if they were pulling my leg. The great Dissers who replied were so helpful (and clearly this is something that has to be done if you do alot of trips, alot of ADRs, etc.)

Wish me luck: I'm on hold now for IT, to create the new account.... (ETA: after a short wait, the IT person had clearly NEVER heard of this. So I asked if she could transfer me to escalate team. She said sure! And... I got transferred to ticketing. Ugh. 2nd call: SUCCESS!!!)

For as much complaining as I hear about MDE, I haven't really had any issues using it over the years.
 

Not working again tonight. Trying to access MDE on laptop using Google and still no luck. Keeps booting me out after I sign in. Been doing this all day. I can access everything when using IE though.
 
I'm at Disney this week and I've actually been impressed with how well the app has worked while on the go in the parks. Looking up info, getting and changing FPs, and ordering food had gone very smooth; especially considering the insane crowds.

I had that message every time for a week or longer. I called tech yesterday and the lady took down my info and said they would re-populate my MB orders that needed customized and send me an email when they were done. I was skeptical, but today just before noon I had an email that they were successful and now all of my customization orders and old MBs are showing. I was all mentally prepared for needing to move everything to a new account with a new email address, but so far at least that wasn't necessary in my case. She said it was a known issue, a glitch where all of the information is there but their ability to link and find it all between something like the 83 different systems they use :confused3 has problems (I don't remember her exact words, I'm doing some serious paraphrasing here :goodvibes)

I only ever use the app when I'm at the parks - last time I was there (October 2013), it worked great. I was able to move things around because of Hurricane Matthew while on the bus to AK. I was able to get an ADR for Crystal Palace for the day after the hurricane and grabbed some FP's.

I have a TA who does my ADR's for me, but if I was doing it myself, I wouldn't use the app. I'd go to the website. Same with fastpasses.
 
Got on this morning :surfweb: and it's been about 3 days now and I still can't access MDE through Google. I keep signing in only for it to boot me back out. All my experiences are not loading and getting "we're encountering a problem retrieving your reservations". My itinerary is loading fine and I can access everything else. It's just the dadgummit MDE & FP! I have to go into the Disney site through IE to get anything to work. Very frustrating to say the least!:badpc:

Usually chrome is my best bet to get it working but the last couple of days IE has been the only chance. No app, no safari, no chrome.
 
I noticed the app was updated (at least on android) on April 5th which was Thursday so perhaps that was a main reason the app was being buggy as an update was going in place the next day. I would have switched to the website..actually I would have started with the website TBH. I find the website is great for setting up your plans whereas the app is great for modifying your plans. With the update though I'm not sure if the website would have been just as unreliable or not.
