MDE / Magic Bands w Multiple Tickets

I have read thru many pages on MDE / FP+ / Magic Band threads and have not found a clear answer to my fact pattern.

I am a veteran of many WDW vacations, but have not been there since Sept 2013 (and we were not in the MB testing back then) My question has to do with the following fact pattern (which is mine of course).

My family of 4 has collected all sorts of ticket media over the years. At this point I have a DVC AP (the other 3 of us don't have APs - yet). All four of us have 5 water park days left off a 10day no expire ticket. A couple of us have 1 day park hoppers left over from another 10day no expire ticket. Both my kids have unused and ugradable 1 day passes (that we got from the buy3 get 4 free promo years ago).

If FP+ and MDE didn't exist here is what I was planning to do for an upcoming trip in late August (we are staying at Bay Lake Tower)...

I would use my DVC AP (it expires on the last day we will be there... or if we stay one or two extra days I will use the unused day on the 10 day pass or a waterpark pass).
My kids would upgrade their one day pass to a DVC AP upon arrival (that way I get the DVC and credit for the value of the unused pass).
For my wife I would buy a 4 day pass from work (I work for a firm that has a significant financial relationship w Disney and I can get 20% off passes) and these passes are fully upgradable. I would upgrade this pass to a DVC AP (with bridging I save the 20%).

My fear is that w the way FP+ is designed I won't be able to get FPs until the day I arrive for everyone but me (well, technically I can make FPs, but the rest of my party can only make them for one or two days that they have passes for).

So my first question is... if I do make the one or two day FPs on the old passes, will they still be there when we enter the park using APs instead?

My second question is... If I decide to not bother making FP+ reservations in advance, will I still be able to get them for E-ticket attractions on the day or week of arrival?

My third question... I am fearful that when I put all these different tickets on the MDE for each person that entering the park may be a mess (in terms of knowing which pass is being used for that entrance). I have entered some (but not all) of these passes and I can't figure out how to tell the system which pass is the higher priority pass to use for that day (does someone know how to set the priority?).

Also, while I keep meticulous notes on the paper/plastic passes as to how many days are left on each pass, is there a way to tell online how many days are left on each pass (when all my tickets are virtual... I need to know if MDE will do a good job keeping track).

I am considering buying three 4 day passes from work and save the 1 day upgrades for a later day... that way I can at least make 4 days of FP+ reservations in advance....

I hope this is all clear... if not, let me know...

Yes, provided you don't remove the old passes before the APs are added. CMs have told me that if you have no ticket media in your account at the end of the day when the system refreshes, you will lose your FP selections.

My second question is... If I decide to not bother making FP+ reservations in advance, will I still be able to get them for E-ticket attractions on the day or week of arrival?

Just about every ride will have availability, but possibly a bit later in the day. Super-popular things like the Anna & Elsa meet and greet will NOT be available, they're getting booked out at 60+ days.

My third question... I am fearful that when I put all these different tickets on the MDE for each person that entering the park may be a mess (in terms of knowing which pass is being used for that entrance). There is no way for you to set the priority on your tickets, however, cast members at Guest Services CAN. So for example, if you have non-expiration tickets, you may want to prioritize your AP over them, since an AP can expire.

Also, while I keep meticulous notes on the paper/plastic passes as to how many days are left on each pass, is there a way to tell online how many days are left on each pass (when all my tickets are virtual... I need to know if MDE will do a good job keeping track).

This I can't answer ... I only have passes in my account. Sorry.

You shouldn't need to worry about that. A ticket of ANY length makes that person eligible for daily FP selections for 30 days from today. So even a 1-day ticket would allow me to book FP selections any day in that 30 days. You will be limited to four total days, in your case though.

Thx SuperRob. That was a super response. I think mine train is my main concern. Hoping the fact we are going during a slow time bodes well for us.
