MDE linking Accounts Question

We go to Disney in 4 weeks. We have not been in 7 years. We have never used MDE (when actually doing a Dis Vacation.) I have been practicing on it for months, so I am pretty good with it. (Today was second successful RotR BG practice in a row!)

What do I do about DW? and DS14? This is where I am very unclear. Do I just have them sign into the app on their phones with my account? (All 3 phones with the same account signed in?) Do I have them with their own account and it links to mine? If so, how? I made DW a MDE account this morning, but could not figure out what to do next.

On my account, I have all 5 members of family listed, our tickets are on and linked to each person, the Hotel reservation is linked, Photopass is ready and will be linked once activated.

I am a little lost here. Thank you.

are you talking specifically about joining a BG? yes all of you can be logged into the same MDE account and try at the same time

No, I am talking about using MDE in total. I know my wife will want the app, and I assume my oldest will as well. This will be for making any last minute reservations, getting a BG is a big part), having access to photopass, and everything else.

I have both my adult kids and their significant others linked to mine and we all just share it. Easier to see everyone and change plans without having to log in and out if you are traveling together

If they are already listed on your account as Friends & Family, it might be easier to leave it that way and let them log in to the same account. If you decide to have them make their own accounts, you need to be careful when linking them in order to avoid ending up with duplicate people and mis-linked tickets, ADRs, etc. You can call MDE for help - they’re very helpful.

You do have park reservations for each day, yes?

As for linking accounts - since you already have everyone set-up under your account, I recommend just leaving it that way and let everyone log-in to the one account. Otherwise you risk problems with duplicate guests and moving tickets, etc.

just checking, multiple people (3 ppl to be exact) using the same MDE account at the same time won’t be a problem? If so, this would be my clear desire. Would be easy to just sigun dw and ds14 into my account.

Yes, everyone can log into the same account at the same time, for purposes of getting a BG and for other purposes. People report doing it every day on the RotR BG thread.

My family (me, DH and DS17) all just sign in to my MDE account using my username and password, everyone being logged in at the same time is not a problem.
