Ack! I really really hate all this stupid online preplanning nonsense that is MDE and FP+!:crazy2: that said....since we are still going to Disney...yet another problem/question..... I am working together with Dsis for our upcoming trip, in planning for FP+,we just realized that her DH has 2 accounts (URG!) One account she is managing, and is linked to their room, and has a MB attached. The 2nd, is his own account (which she manages anyway) and ISN'T linked to the room, but has his TICKET attached to it....(we don;t know how this happened)
HOW did he get a MB (personalized) with no ticket attached to him on that one acct? I can see both of his accts on my page, she is calling in to straighten this out, but how? why? what to say on call?
I think she should ask for the acct. with ticket attached to me put on her room...

You don't need a ticket connected to your account to be issued a MB. just a resort reservation.

However, he needs to have the ticket connected to the same account as the magic band. Whoever calls should ask for the ticket to be connected to the account with the resort reservation and magic band.

I have two accounts also. Don't know why. One of my resort reservations/magic bands got linked to the wrong account. I can't use that band with my AP. and you cannot move a magic band between accounts.

We had a similar situation with my DFIL having two accounts (he created one, my MIL created another). He had tickets linked to one, I think. He was showing in my MDE twice, and I didn't want there to be a problem when I book FP next month. I called Disney for him and after 30 minutes on the phone they straightened it out and now he just has one acct. The person I spoke to was extremely helpful, it just took her a while to do some techno-magic (as I call it) on their end.

whew...so my Dsis ended up on thephone for a while, and they merged the 2 accounts, so that it was only one. That's good..... except a few minutes later when I checked my acct, they had accidentally assigned my Dsis 2 tickets, and removed my brothers altogther!:faint: seriously?!?!
after another 1/2+ on the phone from me, we got it straightened out. What a way to waste some time.:( While the phone reps managed to fix the problems, :(I will say it again.... this new FP+ Magicband nonsense is probably the WORST thing Disney has come up with, ever. I try to imagine myself as an average middle aged person, trying to plan a fun trip with my family, and just not knowing the amount of EFFORT it will take on a computer/phone/months ahead to even do this now. It makes a decent trip completely impossible for folks like that....and very complicated for folks like us, who read these boards and make it a part time job to try and plan a great trip!:(:furious::surfweb:
This is not good, not cool, and it makes me sad.... I love Disney and its' worlds.... but here I sit with so many others, wishing management would STOP this, would backtrack, and all that 'nostalgia' they are banking on,well, part of it is nostalgia for a much simpler trip, where we don't have to be marching along like soldiers in a formation, from activity to activity in a line....:worried:

I agree with you!! I love to plan, but to me this is extreme. I'm 65 and have been going to DW since it opened and it's just not as fun as it used to be. If they would've spent some of the 2 billion on new attractions, they probably wouldn't need to do all the ride rationalizing. It's so much more stressful to me and I can't even imagine how hard it is to plan for a family with small children. You don't know how they're going to be with naps and eating schedules 60 days in advance. It's ridiculous. Anyway I still have a trip book with DD and DGD next August, so I'll be planning soon.

i put all my tickets on the My Disney Experience. Even my unused 2 day bases that i had to buy from free dining package. I didn't think of the problems this might cause. My son had 8 days left on a 10 day park hopping non expiring ticket that i thought i would be using but instead the 2 day base was used. it took forever to clear up. I just happened to check passes at the end of my stay so that's how i knew.
