I'll start by saying I have tried calling Disney tech support, and have been getting a recording saying they are not available. So I can't call, so thought I would see what other advice I can get. My friend and I are taking a girls trip next week. I invited her to join my group, she accepted, I have her in MY MDE, have her ticket, have her on our hotel and park reservations. She has NONE of this in hers. It won't let her link a ticket, as it says it is already assigned. She only has one disney account, which is associated with the email I sent the invite to. I added her about a month ago, so not a matter of hers needing to catch up. But she would like to be able to actually get into a park and into our hotel room! Any insights?

Share you with her, see what happens.
There's some option with shared accounts that turns off and on shared plans. I can't recall exactly how they word it but when you see the box I think it's obvious what it does.
Sharing MDE is so strange. I held off on DH getting his own account for years. We finally had to for some reason I can't remember now. It's been ok. I've got some other friends shared with now, we are traveling together next week. I can see her and she can see me.

honestly, I'm not as worried about the shared part, but rather the part that she doesn't have her ticket linked and won't be able to get in the room!

Go to your Family & Friends list in MDE and make sure you only have one entry for her. If it says "Plans managed by me" next to her name, your two accounts are not connected.

Ok, now I have two entries for her. Doe does this mean that she has more than one disney account?

If one of them says "Plans managed by me", you have one you manage and one she manages. The plans for her are likely associated with the profile you manage.

I have one that says we are planning together, and then she appears in my other family and friends, with no other designation. She now can see my annual pass but NOTHING else, after I had her send me the invite link. Gosh how I hate Disney tech. but I wish they would now answer their phone!

In your Family & Friends list, does one look like this and say Plans managed by me?

No. My son's says plans managed by me, but there is no such designation on the second one of my friend.

Is it possible your friend accidentally created more than one MDE account? or has more than one Disney user name? (an account with ESPN, ABC, starwars, marvel, shopdisney)

She doesn't know enough to do that. And she only has ONE email address. So if it is linked through email, how is there another? Ugh, I wish there would be someone that would answer their phone. I don't want to spend two hours at guest services to figure this out once we get there! I SO appreciate the suggestions and help!

what I wonder is if I just order her a new magic band attached to the reservations I see, if that will work?

I did have some fluky issue when I made my first hotel reservation post MDE, even though my husband and I were connected as F&F, I couldn't add him to the reservation. I had to create FAKEHUSBAND and book the reservation in order to call IT and have REALHUSBAND merged with FAKEHUSBAND.

My inlaws had problems making their accounts, so there were like 7 ghost profiles in the system.

IT resolved both of these issues super quickly. Hopefully you can get on the phone with them.

I have a similar question any maybe the answer in the end is that it doesn't matter.

I am going with my immediate family of 4 in April and my parents (separate hotel room and tickets etc) are joining us. I have my immediate household members under "people I have plans with" plus my Dad (who has his own MDE account and his own hotel reservation) . In the category "people I do not have plans with" is my mom. I have access to my mom's MDE account and I tried to fiddle around it and I could not figure out how to add her so we would be sharing plans.

This might be complicated by the fact that for some reason my parents each have an MDE account (don't get me started). Now I'm worried that somehow the parents I have linked are not the same ones that I'm going with!

Will it be a problem that my mom is under "people I don't have plans with"? I mainly want to ensure that I have the ability to add her to ADRs and Genie+ and ILL if we decide to go that route on our trip.

ETA - I just went to my dad's MDE and it appears that he is on our hotel reservation. How do I move him off of that? Maybe the people I have plans with are just those that are staying in the resort with you? Which would make sense...

I had an issue with DH's entries in MDE and ended up with 2 of him. We were able to trace down the right version of him by looking at the icon he used to identify himself. One had no icon the other was Mr Fredrickson. He was set that icon in his MDE so I needed to always use that version of DH when selecting him for plans. I ignored the version of DH without the Mr. Fredrickson icon.
Anyway, that may be one way to help figure out who is who and which is a real person's account.

No, people you have plans with can be anything from someone else in your room to someone else on an ADR.

When you log into your reservation, who do you see in your room?

As far as your mom, is it possible that she is somehow both a managed account with your dad AND also her own person?

I think the thing with my dad having his own account might be from Disney+ if that is possible? When I log into my reservation I do see my hotel but when I log into my dad's account I see his has a hotel reservation and the people staying there are me and and my dad. Not my mom. So I have to call (or do the chat function). Hopefully it's an easy fix. I just want it to be squared away before we make ADRs on Tuesday if possible.

It won’t matter if you see them all for ADR. You can make those for however many you need to make them for

as for Disney+, that should be the same log in as for the parks

Yeah - so my dad having a MDE login in addition to my mom is not as boomer-esque as I thought :-) it must be because of his Mandolorian viewing.

I called to try and get it fixed and she was kind enough to put me over to someone in the Internet department and it appeared like I would only have a short wait before I spoke with a CM there. But then I accidentally ended the call so I'm back to waiting for a call back from them sometime within the next two hours. A rip-roaring Friday night around here.
