The situation:

I purchased tickets for my family and my parents. I linked my tickets to my MDE people.
I created a MDE account for my parents (using one of my email addresses), and linked their tickets to their names that I created in the new MDE account.
I did this for ease of planning.
Low and behold my mother has a MDE account from 15 years or so ago....and she would like to be able to log in and "check things out"
I was told by Disney chat support that tickets are unlinkable; I cant remove those linked tickets from the account I made and then link to moms pre-existing MDE.
Of course I could just give her the MDE account I made, but would rather not.

Is anyone aware of a workaround?

Regardless of what you were told on "chat," Disney would be able to move the tickets in question.
(Unused tickets can be transferred between guests and MDE accounts.)
You may very well be able to transfer those tickets, yourself.
(The accounts in question need to be "linked together" in the normal way, in order to do so.)

You should be able to find someone via the phone who will help you do that.

Thanks for this recommendation. Calling the internet help desk, they were able to delete one MDE account and move everything to the other account.
Took about 5 minutes.
