I couldn't get in, couldn't get it to show any availability left for MK after several attempts. But @JETSDAD, Even the steps leading up to picking a park are blazing fast in iOS compared to before. I usually use browsers but I will play with the app tomorrow.
Did anyone ever test taking that second time that was offered after the first was no longer available? I wonder if that was even available?
No pushed update for me, either. I updated all my apps 10 minutes ago. I wonder if it is a rolling update, like Apple does.just read this whole thread. May try to play a bit tomorrow with it but I still have the old version - haven't seen an update come thru on iOS. I just hope its fixed when I get there in May
Yes. I did that several times. That one seemed reserved.
Yes, the apps are MUCH faster now... even very old versions of the app are snappy. And they were molasses slow before on the same devices.
Wouldn't it be amazing if they gave us back "reserving" the FP, but kept the quick interface/load times.
My update didn’t show in my App Store where they normally do. All my other app updates showed. I went into the app itself to do the update. No idea why it didn’t show up on its own.just read this whole thread. May try to play a bit tomorrow with it but I still have the old version - haven't seen an update come thru on iOS. I just hope its fixed when I get there in May
Was in HS this morning for rope drop...7:10...o e of the best, least chaotic ones we've done lately. Tried briefly while wait for ST around 930 to getting something, but couldn't really get anything and I was with friends so didn't want to be constantly on my phone.
Tried again around 1030 for quite awhile to get TT. Finally got 2 and 1 and 1 but times were late... around 8. I tied to modify but couldn't move 3 of them. I was using both the app and browser. Kids were tired so I have up and we went home.
Going to play around with it tomorrow and see if I have any better success.
You're likely right, and as mentioned, this is how Maxpass works at Disneyland. You are competing with everyone in real time, and if you lose, you lose. It's just how it is. A lot of times, people cancel their Maxpass and you can get it, but only if you are lucky and the first one to succeed, otherwise it says "sorry, that time is no longer available."
This sounds like the new normal, and honestly, does seem more fair.
I was playing with FP's as noted prior to close and I and some others noticed that it appeared that the 2nd search isn't happening. I think the search is maybe a hair slower as @Networth mentioned however I just timed a couple of minutes and am still around 40 refreshes per minute which is better than I would get prior to the update. I was getting maybe a couple of extra searches earlier today and yesterday but this could just be anything to do with the internet as it's so close. Looking at FP's for tomorrow and it seems that I can let them sit there and then still grab them. I haven't had it give me the No Availability screen for a couple of hours (looking for tomorrow I'm trying to go after FP's that still wouldn't stick around long but it's still not the same as day of so again, not certain). We shall see what tomorrow brings!!
I am more wondering how did they get FPs for all of the following during spring break:
I don't believe either are staying on-site, so three of them could have been booked at 30 days, but that means two of these very popular attractions would have had to have had same day FP availability no matter what. Something seems off on that to me.
