DH's AP is expiring sometime in October so I thought I'd log into MDE to see the exact date. I saw his AP there, but I never linked mine. I just activated mine on our July trip, so I figured, I'd link it now. I attempt to link, it tells me it's already registered. It's not appearing anywhere. I call the number on the website. They tell me it's an issue with the DVC login and the MDE login and I need to call Member Services.

I call Member Services.....1 hour 27 minutes of my life. They tell me it's showing up in their system but I can't access it online. We change my password, we re-register for the DVC member site, we try every email address I've ever had. I ask can they just delete the number from wherever it is linked to and then let me start over? That's not possible.

Almost an hour and a half later (and 3 very nice Disney IT cast members), it turns out that my AP has been "invalidated" and that before I use it again, I have to stop at Guest Relations and they will re-issue a pass.

They told me this is happening quite often, it's a glitch in the system and they are "working on it."

I feel your pain! I have will call numbers for our PAPs that we will pick up on our November trip. I tried to link the numbers and it told me mine had already been issued. I too spent more than an hour on the phone with different Disney departments. Found out the will call number on one of our tickets had been given to someone else. They finally found the right number but I still can't link it to MDE. I am not going to call anymore. I will just have to waste time on our trip.

We got the new PAP's in April when they were relatively new still (tap to enter). We had so much trouble getting them and then mine was troublesome the whole time we were there. I had to keep explaining to various CM's what had happened and what went wrong before and hoped that they would be the one CM to fix my ticket.

It took well over an hour for the vouchers to be turned into tickets. Then twice it was 30 - 45 minute intervals of my family standing inside the park while I went back to a ticket counter for them to fix my pass. Not to mention the time wasted waiting to find someone to give me a FP because the FP machines all said that my card wasn't a valid ticket, ie, I wasn't in the park. :confused3

Hopefully with the magic bands we won't have that problem in Oct. Fingers crossed!

We got our new tap green PAP cards during our spring trip and while it does show I have an AP on my profile, I can't link my green PAP to my DME. It says I have no tickets linked to my account. However when I go to the passholder website, I have no problem buying a renewal pass. You just have to remember to use the drop down to tell it DVC tickets to get the lower price. The only place I've ever been able to renew has been on the passholder website.

That was one of the things we tried yesterday. Unfortunately, it won't let me into the passholder website.

They did tell me that this glitch effects DVC members mostly since most of us have more than one login on Disney websites.

I am more than uncomfortable with the whole DME/Magic Band thing. My AP (green RFID card) linked to my infant grandson when I entered the number...no questions asked. They tell me that they have rectified this situation and something like DVC Annual Passholder does show on my profile page...but...a picture of the pass and the number still show under grandson's name on my Friends & Family list. Disney IT assures me that everything is fine and I am good to go in October. I had no issue linking my husband's pass; it did ask if this was the correct person.
Magic Bands aren't available to us (staying at BWV) and, at this point, I'm glad to not have to deal with it.

Thanks for posting. Our reservations won't show up on MDE on my login after I added my AP and it locked up. Will make sure that it didn't invalidate the pass now before our trip in a week and a half. Have spent too much time with IT also and no resolution yet...they said should work again after this trip because reservation will be out of the system. Annoyed but patient.
