MDE and Swan Conference Reservation

I want to make sure I do things in the correct order.
1. I have an existing MDE account and I've used it for years to organize trips for myself/hubby/son - so familiar with the process
2. I am going to Disney in May, staying with a friend at the Swan, she is there for a conference.
3. We are tacking on 3 additional days at the Swan after the conference. and I already know I will have to manage all of our LL/Dining etc (and that is fine)
How do I get her reservation attached to me? (1 room / 2 people) so I can make our ADR / LL / Memory Maker
1. She creates a MDE account
2. Adds the conference reservation number and the extra days, if there is a separate number
3. Requests to link to my MDE (which I set to searchable)
Am I missing anything? Other steps or red flags?

Item 2 might not be a Swan reservation number that is linkable in MDE. Try it if it does not work you need to contact the Swan to get a reservation number that links. Swan number: 1-407-934-4000 and select In House reservations. You can also look it up on the Marriott site using the Primary guests last name, first name, and the check-in date in additon to the confirmation number. Go here: https://www.marriott.com/reservation/expiredSession.mi and Press the My Trips link on the top tool bar. You don't need an account to search.

Item 3 you need to both add each other's MDE account to your Family and Friends list in MDE. You don't need to enable your MDE account to be searchable. Use the MDE F & F function to send an email request under your My Account > Family & Friends List.

Since you have may have 2 reservations at the Swan you would have 2 ADR 60 day booking dates.

Dave, this is great info! Thank you. ADR date is next week, so I am working on getting my ducks in a row!

Make sure you are listed on the Swan reservation, if you haven’t already checked this. YMMV, but I was able to use my Marriott confirmation directly in MDE both at Swan and Dolphin on recent trips, so try thy first.

@Ohiostatefan606 does not need to be listed by name on the Swan reservation. The only requirement is that the reservation list the number of adult guests, and children for the total number of Guests.

The specific names can be selected and assigned in MDE when linking the Swan reservation.

One thing to be aware of, once you get your reservation linked in MDE just check it periodically. Folks have had issues in the past with Swan and Dolphin stays falling off their MDE and needing to relink them, though not as much as it used to happen. It happened to me once during EEH at Epcot though.
