MDE and booking via hotels.com

Mods - apologies if this isn't allowed, but I booked a stay at Yacht Club for May using hotels.com and I have a 12 digit confirmation number but when I try to link it to MDE it comes up as unrecognised. Am I trying it too early or is it just not possible if you book via a third party website?

I'm not that bothered about FP+ because I'm going solo and don't have a problem with waiting in queues - lots of reading time but if I can get it sorted before that would be great.

Hope someone has an answer.

It should work if the number is a Disney reference number. When did you book? Even with direct Disney bookings it takes a little while before you can link it to MDE so if you booked in the last day or so, you might just need to give it a while; sort of like airline tickets and viewing your reservation on there

Have you got the Disney reference number? I have a booking through Expedia and they have their booking reference and then on our booking we have a confirmation number.

If its 12 digits it should start 440...

Ah - it doesn't start 440. I booked it a couple of months ago because there was a good rate. I'll give them a bell and see if there's a Disney reference as they charged my credit card for the full amount at the time.

Just wanted to follow up to say I got it all sorted. It took a call to the hotels.com call center and I had to explain it several times to the operative who eventually gave me a Disney number beginning 433 (apparently that's the start of hotels.com linked bookings). It's worked fine - have linked it on MDE and booked my DME as well.
