Again I find myself asking a question that I'm sure has been asked/answered many many times - but the search function has too many results that are false positives.
My daughter just bought her ticket on the WDW website. She needed to get a Disney account in order to complete the transaction (which seemed wrong to me, but I was with her when she was doing it, and there was no way to opt out of that before proceeding to payment)
My son is planning the trip - and invited me on MDE. All of our tickets show on the trip, and my son can see it all as can I. So time to add my daughters, which my son tried to do. But it says he can't since it's tied to an account already.
Well, yeah! The WDW website REQUIRED her to create an account.
So how to get it on his trip? I have to say, I don't remember how I got my ticket and my wife's on this Maybe because I was linked to his account? So is that what needs to happen with my daughter? She's already listed as "friends and family".
I guess I need to call (which I did just the other day - long story but my MDE and my son's weren't showing the same thing and it took a CM a half hour to get it in sync). But seriously, why is this so complicated? I'm quite computer savvy (I'm a statistician by profession and teach a finance class in a university - just saying I'm far from a techno-phobe) and yet this MDE app is VERY non-intuitive and gives essentially no real help/guidance. It seems to have been written for one person to manage the whole thing (which is OK) and then as an afterthought realized that a given trip can involve more than one account holder. So they patched it - when they should have redesigned it.
