:moped: We'll arrive around 6:38 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th. It's just three of us...how should we get to WL the safest and quickest way? What are your thoughts? Input requested...THANKS!

Well, I believe a towncar is $95 plus tip versus about $40 for transfer. Towncar was a real treat, they meet you before you get your bags and assist with your bags. It makes you feel that you are arriving in style. Your luggage for 3 should not be an issue with a towncar. Larger groups should take the shuttle.

A towncar is definately quicker but it is also more expensive when there are only 3 of you. We took Mears only one time because we sat on the bus for at least 15 minutes before it left and then it made a stop at another hotel before ours. We decided to spend the extra money for the towncar on later trips, but we have 4, so the increase in cost was not as much as with 3.

On the past 3 trips, we have rented a car. Using our Entertainment coupons and codes on the Mousesaver site, we have been able to get a rental car for a week at near the price of a towncar or sometimes even less. We love the freedom the rental car gives us to move around WDW without waiting for the sometimes slow Disney busses (we have waited a half hour at times). We also like the option of going off property to eat once in a while as well. The rental car also allows you to get to restaurants at other WDW hotels very easily, which can be difficult using the WDW busses, since there is no direct bus service between hotels. You get free parking throughout WDW if you are staying at WL or any other WDW hotel.

I just checked the National web site. You can get a compact car starting on Feb 4 for 1 week using the "Priceless" code on the Mousesavers.com website for $150 including taxes and fees. An Economy car is $140 and an intermediate is $160. Add $20 for gas for the week and you are still below the towncar price. If you have an entertainment book with a $20 off coupon, you can get the intermediate for $140. If you don't use a coupon, you can use National's Quick Rent program which allows you to bypass the rental counter and go straight to the lot to select your car.

I'd skip the Mears shuttle if your budget allows it (especially at 6:30 in the evening) and go for the towncar or possibly even a rental car if driving is not a problem for you.

If you have to choose between the shuttle or the towncar, I would take the towncar. First of all, it would get you there much quicker to begin the fun you are going to have. Secondly, eventhough the shuttle is much cheaper than a towncar, why not treat yourself. GO FOR THE TOWNCAR!! ::yes::

Towncar hands down!! They only pick up your family and drive you straight to your resort plus many offer a grocery stop if you need to pick up a few things on the way to the park.

With 3 of you. I am assuming adults. Thee differance in price after tips with both should be around $20 or so total. The towncar driver meets you at luggage and helps you there. They normally have you wait a couple of minutes at the curp to go get the car. They then take you to WDW, and if you want a 30 min grocery stop if you want one. There you can pick up snacks and bottle water and anything else you may want or need. Most time a towncar can save you 30 mins or more. Have a great trip. pirate:
