I posted before and someone generously sent me directions from MCO taking the south exit to 417 down to exit 62, then up 4 to 535 (hotel's on 535).

But I checked a map this morning and it looks like it might be shorter if I take the north exit to 528 over to exit 72 (which is to 4, but it looks like I can cross right over to 535 right there) and the hotel's right there.

Not knowing ANYTHING about driving in Orlando (but I have driven in major citites), which route is better? Looks like 417's a toll road - is 528?

Oh, we'll be landing on a Sunday night at 7 and leaving on a Sat. morning around 5 (7 am flight). I don't know if the traffic patterns are different...

Both routes would work, but you are better off with the original suggestion. Its probably the quicker (and not measurably longer) route. You really don't want to bother with I-4 if you can avoid it.

Both routes definitely work. Decison could depend on whether your baggage claim is the A side or the B side of the airport or if renting a car, where your car rental facility is located.

The airport's SOUTH exit leads to TOLL 417, which you take southbound. Exit at SR536 and go two traffic lights to SR535, turn right and the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort will be a mile or so up on your right. Total tolls: $2.00

The airport's NORTH exit leads to TOLL 528, which you would take westbound to I-4 which you would take westbound (direction: Tampa) to the very next exit which is SR535 (Lake Buena Vista), turn left onto 535 and your hotel will be a half mile south on your left. Total tolls: $1.50

Avoiding I-4 is generally good advice but unless it's rush hour, it's probably ok for the few miles you're on it using the 528 routing.
