If we rent a car from MCO and return it at the Car Care Center after hours, how does that work? Would be picking it up at MCO around 8 pm, and return it the next day around 8pm to the CCC This is right by the Hess station, right? What would be the easiest way to get back to resort?CBR

After hours, you would probably have to take a cab from the Car Care Center. An alternative could be to return the car to the Dolphin Hotel. Then you could take Disney Transportation to any park that's open and switch to your hotel bus (or walk to Hollywood Studios if it's open and take the CBR bus).

Or rent a car from Avis and drop it off at the Hilton hotel across the street from DTD. Or a Budget car which can be returned to the Doubletree Hotel close to DTD. Both hotels are within walk distance (about 5 minutes) from DTD. Then you can take a bus back to your resort.

Think about it. If you return the car to a closed location, what proof do you have that you returned it on time?

Sure, the rental counter at the Dolphin closes even earlier - 4 PM. BUT! You can return your rental to the Dolphin Valets, and then you will have a record of your return time.
