After several years away, I am finally returning to WDW and bringing my 67yr old sister with me. She has been to DL as a young girl, but never to WDW....first WDW trip EVER for her...first girls trip for me. SO excited!

...anyway, National was the best place to rent from during all of my last visits. Now their rates seem really high but I'm still considering paying the ransom just to get the benefit of NO COUNTER stop. I did a search that revealed I could go directly to the garage with Alamo (online check in) but the post was dated from 2013 and because things change, I want to make sure my info is up to date.

So now that it is 2015 my questions are:
What rental companies allow you to bypass the counter and go directly to the MCO garage?
What check-in procedure do I need to follow to go directly to the garage?
What companies allow you to select the car you want (from your reserved car class)?
(I know National still works this way but do any others?)

I am a loyalty member at National, Alamo & Hertz.
We only need a full size car for 3 people and luggage.

Thank you so much for your help!

I know for sure that Alamo allows you to go directly to the garage at MCO, you can also select your car from the aisle that you paid for. You can check in on-line with Alamo and they will need drivers license and credit card info and I think that is all.

I have also gone directly to the garage with Dollar but that was a couple of years ago and I am not 100% sure about them.

I've gone directly to the garage in the past couple years with Alamo, Dollar and Budget. Alamo seems to be the easiest...if you complete online checkin (I did it the day before, once I was sure I had the best rate), you just bring your paperwork from home and go out and pick a car out from the correct row. With Dollar, if you sign up for their express program, you go out to the garage and your name is displayed telling you which car is yours. If you don't like the car, there's a booth where you can stop and change it. With Budget, you sign up for their FastBreak program, go out to the garage and check in at the FastBreak counter. When I went, there was only one person waiting in front of me.

I would think Avis and Hertz would have some kind of program too, but it seems most folks rent from Alamo, Budget, Dollar and National.
