MCO -> POP -> MK (via DME) - arrival time?

I was wondering if some experts could give me an some insight into travel times. I'm arriving Nov 10th on a flight arriving at 2:42pm. I'm planning on taking DME to Pop, picking up my keys (plan on using online check-in) and heading right over to MK for MVMCP.

Any idea what time I can expect to arrive at the MK?

somewhere around 70 minutes from you departing the plane till you arrive at PoP, which would mean around 4pm. Then since you are doing online checkin, I would think about 4:15pm to get checked in and drop your "stuff" with Luggage Services.

Here is what I recommend. If you have a carryon bag, then check in first, then stuff all the extraneous papers they give you in your carryon, THEN give your carryon to Luggage Services. (Don't bother going to your room) When you get back from the Magic Kingdom, your yellow tagged luggage and your carryons will be waiting for you in your room.

Then anywhere from 20 - 50 minutes to Magic Kingdom.

At the earliest 5pm to arrive at Magic Kingdom, and as late as 6:30pm to arrive at Magic Kingdom.

On our trip in September we were off the plane and onto ME within 15 minutes. We had no wait at all. Then off to the ASMu and we arrived there about 30 minutes later. We had checked in online and so check in took about 10-15 minutes. 1 hour after arriving at the gate at MCO we were in our room at ASMu! We headed back to the bus stop to head to MK for the fireworks and we were there within another 25 minutes (after waiting a few for the bus). We were thrilled with how quickly it went...but of course you can't bank on it working that well all of the time.

Thanks all for your replies. This this much variability I'm thinking that maybe I'll rent a car instead.

Renting a car, you may have the same variability....

5 - 10 minute walk to baggage claim
5 - 60 minutes waiting on your luggage
5 - 60 minutes waiting in line to get your rental car
35 - 40 minute drive to POP
15 min to check in, 5 minutes to move your car to near your building
20 - 50 minutes to Magic Kingdom by Disney bus.

OR 5-10 minutes to TTC parking lot, then 5 - 20 minutes from TTC to Magic Kingdom by boat or monorail.

Then, after the MVMCP is over, you still have to schlep your bags to your room yourself.

However I think I can minimize this by bring carry-on only, using the club feature of the car rental agency where you just walk up and take the car and doing online check-in for the resort. I just checked and got a really good rate ($22/day) for a car so I think I'll go that route. May use the transportation to the park but then again if I do that I miss out on the fun of riding the monorail.
