Picking up a car at MCO anytime from April 12th to December 15th - found some great prices with Alamo and Visa discounts.

Checked numerous dates and all seem to give the same price:

Econ - $104 per week - $118.47 total price
Compact - $111 per week - $126.66 total price
Midsize - $119 per week - $136.01 total price
Fullsize - $149 per week - $171.09 total price

Other classes not such a good deal. Rates are for a seven day rental.

Total price increases after 6/30 as coupon expires.

Do you have to use a VISA to make the reservation? I've never rented a car (don't laugh), do we have to pay for it when I make the reservation?

If the deal is from VISA, then you must pay with Visa. Your card isn't charged until you return the vehicle but most rc companies put an approx $300 hold on your cc, not actually charging the card though, but would reduce your available credit by that much. Not sure how it works if using a debit card.

I'm not sure how much that coupon is because I couldn't use it on my reservation (we leave Friday night)

The coupon I mentioned does require a Saturday night and is valid until 6/30/10. ad2123jmc is only valid until 4/30/10 but does not require a Saturday night. If booking for after 6/30 you can use AU2729MJW for a free upgrade.

This is a great rate! What would happen if I booked it and returned the car early? Can you get penalized for having an emergency at home and having to leave early. This is easily $100 less than any non-Saturday night keep I have found.
