MCO HYATT

I appreciate everyone sharing their experience, we are recommending this option to family that will be flying in from the west coast. Thank you!!!

I have Verizon (for past 8 years) but not sure how I would even begin to check into booking through them.

Log into your verizon account from your computer. Under "my profile" is my verizon rewards. Click on that, and pull down the travel menu. Put in where you're going and hotel name, date of travel etc. Good luck!

Good morning everyone,

Coming out of lurkedom after a long hiatus. Just booked my very first Disney cruise for January 2016 and I'm so excited!! I went to the my Verizon rewards page and there are five Hyatt's that come up, including Hyatt Place but not the Hyatt Regency actually at the airport. Am I doing something wrong? I would love to save a bit on our one night pre-cruise stay because right now it's $279 for the night. Ouch! Thanks for your help!

We have stayed here 3 times and really enjoyed the experience. You literally just go from baggage claim to checking in. The next morning we put out our luggage, go down to the DCL transport area and off to the ship we go. As previously noted, our bags were taken care of by Disney and arrived safe and sound in our cabin. It is a easy, stress free way to go when you fly in the day before the cruise. Highly recommend it.

Just looked and saw the same thing - I'm guessing that the Hyatt that is IN the airport is actually not offered through Verizon.

To all of the previous posters - double-check the address of the Hyatt that you booked!!

I booked the Hyatt MCO under a AAA discount for 2 adults at the end of July...$152/night (I booked back in February). Pricey, yes, but I'm paying for the convenience I guess!

We come in from the west coast as well, and always stay here the night before. I just discovered I can get $30 off by booking through "my verizon" rewards. If verizon is your cell phone carrier, check into it. We're cruising this summer, and rates are higher then. I've also booked it through last minute travel for an even bigger discount, but you do run the risk of it not being available if you wait.

This was a good suggestion. I had wanted to book but the rate was more than I wanted to pay, using points it was perfect for the night I needed. I wouldn't have thought of it without your tip.
This is the Hyatt that is IN the airport, and not one that is NEAR the airport? Just double-checking.

I just checked for my date for the Hyatt in the airport- through verizon- and it was there as an option for $160. It might be that it isn't available for your dates?

Thanks so much guys! I will check the Verizon site periodically and see if maybe by chance the airport Hyatt comes up for me. I have close to 200,000 points and have never used them! Lol!

You're right. I just checked another set of dates (for October) and it DOES pop up as an option there. Checked again for July and it's not listed.

Sorry all!!

My family stayed at the Hyatt in MCO last June for a trip to Disneyland (tickets much cheaper out of MCO than JAX). We loved it. I know this sounds weird but it was cool just hanging out in the airport. Also, it was nice having the food court for dinner and breakfast. We got a deal through the website which included parking at the airport which was really nice. Lastly, we got a room which overlooked the runway. Very cool being able to watch the planes land.

BTW, if anyone has the Hyatt Visa Credit Card from Chase, you get an annual free night in a Category 4 hotel - which the Hyatt MCO happens to be part of. We used ours before our cruise and it was a good value as prices were hovering around 180-200 range which is a little higher than most category 4 hotels per night.

(Note, do not waste your 2 free nights that you get as a signup bonus with the card, use those on a much more splurge-y $$$ hotel, like the Park Hyatt New York, Andaz Maui, or Grand Hyatt Kauai) :)

Hyatt MCO has a best price guarantee to book directly with them. They matched the Priceline price for me AND took 20% off of it. We've stayed there twice before a Disney cruise and our luggage made it to the cruise both times. They also gave us a bunch of diaper wipes when ours were lost on the plane. And an extra bonus for us, the in-hotel restaurant McCoy's is very allergy friendly.
