MCO Car Rental Recommandations and ? about Driver

I will be renting a car for our trip in April, but my son will be doing all the driving. Whose name should I put the rental under (I don't want to pay for a second driver)?

Also, which agency would you recommend for easiest pick-up for a late Saturday (4/1 after 9pm) flight and easiest drop-off (early afternoon Wednesday)? I want to make this as easy on my son and his family as possible, since their 1yo tends to get a bit cranky when her schedule is disrupted and then they get anxious. I will be with them when we pick the car up, but they will be returning it without me.

It should be under your son's name otherwise a second driver fee. Usually. How old is he? Under 25 may incur an extra fee if they rent to him at all. The easiest thing is for your son to rent the car himself. Join the company's express club to avoid the line in the terminal.

Have you checked the car rental company's web site for the rules? Many companies have different rules.

Reservation in the driver's name and must use driver's credit card for the rental, or you run into the extra driver scenario. Also note the age restrictions as under 25 usually carries a surcharge.
