MCO and rental car question

We'll be traveling with my mom this trip and will be requesting wheelchair assistance when we land at MCO. Here's my question...when we go to get our rental car, should we push my mom in the wheelchair out to the garage and pick up the car, or should I go out alone and pick up the car, then pull around to get her? Is this possible? I've only used magical express at the airport so this whole car rental stuff is new to me.

The rental agencies that are on site are an easy walk across the street to the parking garage. Very easy walk
