Do you really NEED two hours at the MCO airport, or will 1:30/1:45 do the trick? We're departing around 2pm on a Wednesday. Just wondering if I can't squeeze that Pirate Cruise in. We'd have to leave GF via cab to POR to collect our luggage and meet our towncar. They said they'd pick us up 2 1/2 hours prior to takeoff and, well, we'd be cutting into that time frame by about 30 minutes.

I think on a Wednesday you could go with less time. If it was the weekend I wouldn't chance it. The bottleneck is the security checkpoint.

It just depends. Keep in mind you also have to factor in that "traffic backup" due to an unforseen accident. That happened to us once. Also, last December the e-ticket check in machines at NWA were acting up, so everyone had to be checked in at the counter...the line was LONG LONG LONG!

Like safetymom said, on a Wed it may not be too bad at security, but then again look what happened this past weekend up here with the power outage. We are STILL recovering.

You don't say when you are going. If it is during "high season" (ie. the holidays), I would say you need all two hours, if not, the 1/2 hour shouldn't make too much of a difference but as others have pointed out, you can never tell. Also, sometimes the airline makes a difference also. AirTran always seems to have a long line, as does Delta...some others less so.

I'm going in November, flying US Air. Wish I could find a way to print my boarding pass from Disney, but I'm not bringing my printer with me to Disney. I know that US Air allows you to print your boarding pass within 24 hours of your departure.

Depending on where you are staying you might be able to print up boarding passes. I'm pretty sure many hotels have facilities for that. When we stayed at HIFS there were computers guests could use. Although, there is probably a fee for using them.

We're staying at POR. I think I'd have better luck with hotels that cater to conventioneers.
