McDonald's Toys

The kids and normally get Happy Meals maybe once a week so we will take what we get when we get them. This week we got 3 Sebastians. We will keep the extras in case we find anyone who wants them. We will not try to collect them all.

Take them back with you the next week you go to McD's and exchange for new toys :D Most will do that, as long as they are still sealed/unopened

I did not know about the McDonalds Happy Meal toys. Surprising my grandkids with their first trip to Disney in a few weeks. Normally when they visit, we take them out to eat at Chick fil a. I'll take them to McDonalds this next visit. I'd love to hear their conversation about wishing they could go to Disney World. Their friends have been and they see commercials on T.V. They have expressed an interest. Never been on an airplane, either!

Do all McDonald have the Disney toys ?
Or only the ones in Florida
We live in NY

Yeah - no kids but still drive a mini van - my kids are all grown up
I do not mind a kids meal :)

I really would love to find Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter but won't pay ebay prices!
Have Timothy Mouse. Hoping I can find someone willing to trade.

Don't bother with ebay! I would check thrift stores- this is depend on your area, but it's not uncommon to find bags of multiple sealed McD's toys for about $2 a bag.

After Googling, there's much more than I realized (I didn't think they were actually going for 50 toys at first)…

I kinda favor the simple, iconic Jiminy Cricket, maybe HeiHei the Moana Chicken too.https://www.************.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screen-Shot-2021-09-15-at-6.33.57-PM-1024x457.png

Our McDonalds is out of all the McDonalds toys. DD took the grand kids today.....so disappointed

Any chance Congress passes a law to have kid’s meal toys (from any fast food chain) made only in the USA? Toys would probably be made better, supply jobs, gain taxes, and the company could raise the price of happy meals. If “Johnny and Jane” really want that happy meal, the parents 9 out of 10 times would still get them it anyway. :confused3

I’ve been known to collect some McD’s happy meal sets in the past, most recently the Disney Princess ones back in May. But with these 50 toy sets that’s just tooooo many. Not because I want all of them, but because with 50 of them rather than the usual 6 or 8 it would be too hard to track down the few that I actually want. Hoping I might get lucky down the road and find some at Goodwill.

Poor kids like Happy Meals too. For some, it's a very welcome occasional treat. Don't be a Grinch and ruin that for them.

Why stop there? How about EVERYTHING else that Disney sells in the parks?
Disney should make everything they can in the USA if possible. It would actually help its public relations department. People would actually start to think it’s a company that cares about our country’s economy and the economic opportunities it supplies for our citizens. Doing the morally right thing over anything at all cost profits. The theme parks have a higher approval rating then the Disney company does for many reasons.

There is nothing saying that fast food chains need to include a toy. Making it prohibitively expensive to include one is probably a good way to remove them entirely.

You realize that Disney is a global company with a park (and customers) in China right?

1. I would love to see fast food eliminated from the USA’s food structure. If our country was more on a Mediterranean diet or similar diet structure, half of the health problems/costs would be solved.

2. Yes, but they always want to be seen as an American company. And the way things are going in Asia at the moment, some companies are going to have to choose soon between doing what is best for the USA (and still find other ways to make money) or potentially hurt American economic interest for selfish greed. I’m not trying to get political but Chinese and American interests in the world is going to be interesting to watch.

I didn't even know about the Princess toys until a Snow White appeared in a thrift store bag of McDonalds toys.

By the way, every single one in the bag was a Disney IP of some kind, be it Disney itself, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. I was hunting a Pixar toy and there was a Mickey Railroad item I was missing.

Agreed. I understand that McDonalds can't afford to give away quality toys but what I don't understand is how Disney can get people to pay top dollar for Chinese made junk. With the prices they charge the Disney toys should be made in the USA and be top quality.
For years we've been joking that if you want to know if an item is real Disney or a counterfeit, turn it over or look at the label. If it says Made in China, or Taiwan you know you have the real thing!
