McDonald's Stepometer

[always quiet]

My DH got one of those salads yesterday and got the adult "happy meal toy", the stepometer. He works on his feet all day and wore it to work today. I couldn't believe the results! According to the booklet, a count of 2000 steps equals one mile............his count 25965!! That's over 12 miles!!!!!!!!!!!! Geez, no wonder he is always going through shoes!!

OMG that's awful high. Are you sure that thing is accurate. I got one from the in-laws yesterday, but haven't used it. I wondered how many steps = a mile. Thanks!

lol - mine reads really high too. One day I walked from one side of the kitchen to the other and it read 56 steps. Hee hee now that's a kitchen!!!!!!

It is not accurate. We got them at work today and while one of the girls was just sitting it said she had taken 30 steps

When I got it home today and took it off to show my Dh he said it was changing while I was holding it and he was looking at the face.

I have a great one somewhere in this house now if i can just find it

I bought my McD's meal last wknd w/the stepometer - it didnt work! counted steps while it was sitting there
I do use my pedometer DH gave me at Christmas. In the winter I have to really try to reach those 10,000 steps
In the nice weather I often find myself over 20,000 per day

OMG! Bwahhh ha ha! This is too funny and I think I can relate toooooooo much here with this comment.

I know the disclaimer says it is not the most accurate, but didn't realize it is that far off. These things are fun to play with anyway. It is getting our minds in the right direction I guess.

I tested mine out by walking three stiff steps in my office, it recorded 15!

I tried everything, it looks like I just a salad for my $5!
