Do they have the $1 items on the menu? More specifically... do they have a $1 breakfast sandwich?

NO
they rip you off they want more money for doller items id get here at home. I have told my son NO we will not ever go back there they ripped me off. 2 something for a kids drink
no dont waist your money be better going to dennys or eatting in the park at least there frys are huge not baby size

THey don't have the $1 items but I din't find their prices crazy. We ate there many times on our last trip and saved a lot of money by doing so. There angus burger is to die for. We don't have that type of burger at our mcdonalds so it was a real treat. We never left hungary and it usually only cost around $12 for me and my husband to eat there.

We ate there a few times when we were there also... We didn't find it to be too expensive, but higher prices then our local McD's. They do have a 10% off coupon that is available at most hotels in the area, not much but a penny saved...can be spend at DLR :thumbsup2

They probably pay a hefty price to be in that location. That is probably why the prices are a bit higher.

We didn't find them crazy either. Just expect the non-dollar menu prices.

Jade, I think CA McD's prices are higher in general than what you are used to paying in AZ. The McD's, in general, around major tourist areas don't tend to offer the value menu.

BTW, we don't have Angus burgers here in AZ either, and my DH loves them too!

I don't even think my local Mc'D has the dollar menu! LOL I didn't find their prices crazy, I know we also saved money by eating there once or twice. Now I've found some of the prices crazy in the parks, however! I know my DH choked up when he saw how much that character breakfast set us back. LOL He would have much rather spent the $15 for breakfast at McD's! But it was fun, and worth it to me.

You will definitely pay more to eat there than other McDs, their customer service is nonexistant...but it's probably the cheapest place to eat right there on Harbor.

lol well i never order off the reguler menu so im use to a meal for the three of us costing 7 or 8 dollers not 13 or 15 but hay i was mostly pissed when i paid 2 dollers for the smallest frys ive ever seen.. and when i ordered a drink and they said ok and gave me the food and only the small cup for my sons drink and said "oh you didnt order one" i said oh yes I did.. took my sons got his drink and left with food in hand curseing.. it just was more hassle then it was worth and the store wasnt bussy they were just super rude and small and just not worth it.. (ok only way id go is if there was toy my son wanted from his kids meal lol i cant say no to him if hes colecting groups of toys. lol

I will probley end up going again just knowing that its 2dollers for fry and 2dollers for a drink and just plan 20

if your traveling with kids and worried about the cost of food, just get an entire pizza at the pizza port in the park, and split a couple of drinks :)

if my memory serves me correctly I think there's a Carls Jr about 1 mile west on Harbor, but you can't quote me on that. :)

We went to the McDonald's in the Fairfield Inn parking lot, is that the one you are talking about. I don't remember a $1.00 menu but what I did was ordered the kids a 10 pack chicken nugget meal with super sized fries and they split that so it worked out to $3.00/3.50 per child and I had a snack wrap with medium fries and took the drink from the kids meal. We bought juice boxes from the grocery store so they had a juice box with their meal. I think our total was at most 12.00, if that. We had really good service, it was really busy but received our order in a timely fashion. For the most part though, we ate at Ihop's. It was good food and they had a kids eat free with every adult meal. Between myself and my mom we ate for 10.00 each for suppers, kids ate free.

Thanks for the replies. We are having a character meal at 10 am and I just thought it might be easy to grab a $1 sandwich for a small mini meal/snack to hold the girls over until then. I guess we'll go with a churro or popcorn in the park, LOL

Another option is to hit up a grocery store or convenience store the first day you are there. Pick up a pack of donuts, pastries, poptarts, fresh fruit, juice, milk, cereal, (whatever you eat for breakfast) and keep it in your room. That way you can have a quick snack while you are walking into the park or in room while getting ready to go.

You can also arrange for a grocery delivery to your room through Albertsons or Vons.

HTH!

The one by FF doesn't have a dollar menu, but their prices are comparable with the McD's thru-out CA so it's not that bad. They charge about $1.59-$2.00 for dollar menu items. Oh and they don't have the new sweet tea either....or they didn't last month.
