McDonalds Charging for Ketchup ?

The Burger King in southern IL doesn't do this, but the one in Westmont charged 50 cents for tomatoes on your burger. I'd tell them to just leave them off since I am not that fond of them any way.

My son ordered a caramel Frappe the other day. They come with whipped cream and caramel sauce on top. He asked for chocolate sauce instead of caramel. Not both just chocolate. They charged .30cents extra for an item already on the Frappe, just a different flavor.

DS will get all future Frappes from Burger King!

Good heavens this is ridiculous....it's stuff like this that I find so frustrating. Everyone is pinching pennies, but come on now. I guess we'll have to carry around our own condiments, and chocolate sauce...hmm....I'll have to invent a purse with built in condiment containers; I'll sell it on QVC. Move over Rachel Ray:rotfl:

That fact that they charge 1/4 of the price of a burger at McDonalds for a thimble of sauce makes me worry more about the quality of the burger. This isn't the 60's, a burger shouldn't cost a buck.

They are hoping when you are lured in for the cheap burgers that you'll spring for more expensive items. There was recently something I think on ABC News about this. They don't make money from $1 burgers. They get you with drinks and other higher cost items.

I'd like to say that many times when asking for a couple packets of ketchup, we've been given a handful. Same with napkins. Waste comes from employees as well.

Please put ketchup in sauce sized containers. The little packets don't cut it. ( and, yes...I will gladly pay extra) :thumbsup2
