I had read somewhere on here that there is a McDonalds restaurant right by the All-Stars resort. Is this true?
How far from the ASMovies is it? Walking distance?
There is no bus/shuttle to it I imagine, right?

We are on free dining, but my son is a McDonalds fanatic, so thought we could eat breakfast there one morning maybe!!

Yes It Is True That There Is A McDonalds By All-Star Restorts.
There Is No Bus Or Shuttle That I Know Of That Goes Directly To
McDonalds. The McDonalds Is On The Left Hand Side At The Red Light
Right Before You Go Through Security To Check-In Or Whatever To The
All Star Resorts. I Would Suggest Taking A Car To McDonalds Even If Your
Staying At The All-Star Resorts. Its Not That Far But It Is Blazzing Hot.

Movies is the farthest point from it in the All-Stars. it's about a half-mile outside of the main All-stars gate. definately not within normal walking distance.

I would not recommend walking to the McDonald's by All Stars. Lots of traffic and not pedestrian friendly. You might want to save you McD's meal for a day you might want to visit and / or shop in Downtown Disney. You can take the bus to and from the resort. Lots of neat things and stores to see and actually the best McDonald's service and food wise that we've ever been to.

Dont forget there is a McDonalds place (I think just Chicken Nugets and Fries) in epcot. I also got Some McDonalds Fries in Animal Kingdom....for some reason though I'm thinking that place isnt there anymore. And I really thought i saw their fries somewhere else but not sure. And as another poster said there is one at DTD so if you dont have a car you could shuttle there.

OK, I didn't know there was one in DTD, thanks!!
If we need a McD's fill, we will head there!!

I know there is the one in AK too, but there are way better places to eat there then McDs!

So i checked the menues and there is a fry place in Frontier land (MK), and the place with nuggets/fries/flurries in Epcot, and the place in AK. If you are DDP people said you can now use snack credits atleast at the epcot one for things so you dont have to waste a meal time for it.

We opted out of the Dinning Plan when we are there as we're dvc and in the end it was "cheaper" to use our points then to pay rack rate and get the "free" dinning HOWEVER, that McDonald's by the All Stars is on our list of where we want to eat LOL For whatever reason their burgers are so much better then the McDonalds we get in NYC.

If it is very early in the morning or if it is not April through September you could make the walk from the All Stars. The intersection where the McDonalds is happens to be a bit more pedestrian friendly because there is a huge CM parking lot hidden there.

Give yourself plenty of time (will be difficult to make rope drop at a park). If you walk there you do have to walk back, although only to 'Sports to catch the bus.
