I started the McCain thread before Gulianni spoke (I thought I'd missed him actually). I like McCain's speech better for a number of reasons. Mostly I prefer to hear positive thoughts and he did a great job of pointing out that there are more things that unite Americans rather than divide Americans and other than some passing disparaging remarks about a certain filmmaker (who is not worth even mentioning imo), I thought his message stayed positive and got great response from those in attendance.
Gulianni made a great speech but I thought his negative statements about Kerry were unnecessary. I think we need to stay focused on what has been accomplished and what still needs to be accomplished and why that makes Bush/Cheney the right decision. I think Kerry is a non-issue.
