MBs: Previous ones work too?

I have a set of MBs from our January trip and a set that was just sent to us for the August trip.

Will both MBs work or is it only the one that they sent for this trip that will work?

Has anyone used their MBs interchangeably on a trip?

Yes, they will all work interchangeably. I like to check mine at the door of the room after check in, if any old bands don't work bring them to the front desk, they can fix it.

The bands simply access the info, tickets, and other files in your MDE account,
so any bands connected to that account will work.

Or is one band designated as room key and the others have the park tickets, ADRs, and FPs?

All bands should work for everything. They simply pull information from your MDE account - so anything active in MDE will work on any active Magic Band (including room key, park tickets, FPs, and charging privaleges). ADRs are not affected by magic bands as far as I know.

I asked if I could do that on our May trip and the CM's at the front desk said no, only one will be active(the one that they scan when we check in). I wanted to have 2 for better color coordination to outfits for pics!

This was a supervisor alog with the reg CM telling me this. She also said my DS would have to come and "activate " his when he came back up from checking out the snack bar.

I had even said that IT had told me differently but you know how that goes....

well, I'll report back after this weekend. I'll bring my four bands and see what the front desk says.

We were there all week last week and brought three sets of MBs. All three sets worked fine opening the door, getting us into the parks and for our FP+s.

Thank goodness for the DIS!

We learned that you can use any of your magic bands for EMH, prior to check in at the resort. All CMs said otherwise on earlier stays. That was awesome to learn because we usually hit rope drop and check in later. I had one from a stay in January, DH had his AP band, and our sons used the bands for that particular resort stay. Worked just fine for AM EMH at DHS.

I used each one to try to open the door and they all worked. I figured that was a good sign. I asked at the front desk and they told me they were all listed as active on my account so they would all work. They even gave me a print out of the numbers of all of the MBs for each member of my family.

Pick colors early, change colors often

I will have 3 MBs this time around in 3 different colors. I'm so excited about this! I can match them to my clothes! I'm such a geek.
