MB's and Beach Club pool

So in the past you've had to show your KTTW to prove you are staying at Beach or Yacht Club to access the pool. Anyone know what they are doing now that the MB's are being issued to everyone? Are they scanning the bands at the pool entrance?

Yes, we were there last Thanksgiving. They had people with scanners at the entrances scanning your MB. For us, they scanned each person's MB.

It was the same thing with us in October. A CM standing at the entrance with a hand-held scanner. What I found rather interesting is that in all the years we've been members, that's the first time we were checked at the entrance. In previous years, our card was never checked until/unless we went over for towels. If I went to read, sat in a lounge chair and didn't go in the water, no one had ever checked me.

I'm hoping this becomes the norm at ALL DVC main pools. Of course, that will likely mean the neighborhood pools at places like OKW and SSR will have a lot more uninvited local guests that normally are squatting at the main pool.
