Someone asked me and I guessed that you can't use the MB to get into the parks until you check in at your resort. Am I right?

For the "park tickets" portion, that's correct.

Either that, or go to any Guest Relations with your resort info up to 3 days before your check-in date and
the CM can activate the tickets.
