MB and Hotel

Sorry, I've searched but can't find an answer. I want to purchase my park tickets soon to beat any price increase. I also want to book a room on site but not just yet. If I buy the tickets now but don't book the room for another month or more, will I still get MBs?

they will give you MBs at the hotel, but they probably will be gray and not personalized.

When is your intended stay? If you're booking the room a week before the stay, then the above is true. But if you are booking the room in advance of the stay, then you can customize the bands no problem.

The bands come from the room reservation. You don't have to have any tickets to get the bands, if you have the onsite hotel booked. I am in this exact spot right now. No park plans at all, no tickets. But the MBs are customized and will be shipped to me soon. Tickets allow you to make FP+ arrangements and they get you into the park. But they aren't required to get MBs.

If you book your room at least a month before you plan to arrive they will ship MBs to you and they can be customized. Tickets play no part in the process.

Yes - everyone with a WDW Resort reservation gets magic bands you don't need to book with any kind of package or tickets. You will also be able to customize them and they will either be mailed to your home or held at the front desk for check in.

We're looking at November but haven't pinned the dates down yet, which is part of the reason I'm waiting on the hotel. So I can transfer the tickets onto the MBs at a later date?

Yes you can. In your MDE app you click to link your tickets and you can either scan the tickets or key in the #.

Technically, Tickets are never added to a MB

Tickets are added to a MDE account

MB's are just a "key" to the account

As long as the reservation is added to the same profile as the tickets, the MB will "unlock" those tickets at the gate

You can buy your tickets, add them to the MDE website. MB get generated in conjunction with the room reservations, not the tickets. You can customize your MB and they mail them out about 30 days prior to your travel date. If your travel date is very close to the time you make your room reservation, and there isn't time for them to mail your customized bands to you, they will have them waiting a the desk when you check in to the resort.
