We've been looking for a used minivan. Found an 03 Mazda MPV online today, looks good, I've emailed the dealer, they've emailed me back. I hope to test drive it later, but I wanted to ask-- do any of you have or had a Mazda MPV?

Thanks!!

We are on our second MPV. The other day it hit 120,000 miles and still going strong.

We had our first MPV for six years before it had an electrical problem. We got it in 10/01 and turned it in 5/07 with almost 180k on it.

Our second one does not have a roof rack which the first one did. I miss it because we have a roof carrier which we can't use.

We have had no major issues with either van. The electrical problem with the first van was the only major issue. We got rid of it because the short couldn't be traced/found.

Our current van we have done upkeep only. With our mileage that includes frequent oil changes, tire rotations and other routine maintenance.

We have a 2006. No problems so far, it's been a great vehicle.

Awesome! :) Good to know! We're new to the minivan thing, so its like starting from square 1. Thanks!

We have an '06 and like it for the most part. The gas mileage for the size car isn't very good. It is on the small size but functional. It drives very nicely though.

I have an '06, and wouldn't trade it for any other minivan on the market today. I love my removable captain's chairs, love the slide to the middle feature on the passenger one, love the stowing 3rd row, and the amount of space still available even when the 3rd row is in use. I get decent gas mileage. Knock on wood no problems since I bought it new in '06. I'm at almost 50k miles. It's super easy to park because it's much narrower than most vans. And I love that the rear windows both roll down! :goodvibes

I had a 2000 MPV. Loved it! We sold it to some friends and they are STILL driving it!!!

We had the alternator go out on it once. That was the most major issue that we had. We also installed a VHS player in it (very few DVDs in 2000!) and the kids LOVED traveling in it.

I love my MPV! I have a 2002 with about 56,000 miles on it (I have a very short commute!). It's comfortable and reliable. I love that the rear seats fold down instead of having to be taken out when you need cargo space. Most of the models when we bought ours had rear seats that had to be taken out. This is our 2nd Mazda and we would consider another in the future.
