MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

Joining the fun of another great trip report.:goodvibes

I am a retired middle school math teacher. and I coached cheerleader 15 out of my 29 years of teaching.

It's good to see your family again, especially gearing up for a new Disney adventure! :cool1:

Beach Club is a beautiful and awesome resort. Being able to walk to and from Epcot and over to the Boardwalk, movies on the beach, the pool (of course), Cape May and Beaches & Cream right there - what's not to like???

What a sweet picture! :lovestruc
DIS meets are such fun.

I'm in! I'll also be there in May. (Getting ready to start a PTR myself)

Love your choice of resort. After finally staying at AKL in September, Beach Club is last one I want to try. Lots of pictures please.

Beach Club is a good one to try....Maybe during another girls trip?! ;)

I'm in!!! I loved your "Why is that woman holding my husband" TR, although I may have just been a lurker on your report. I think you made a fantastic resort choice! ;)

:welcome: Glad you're here! So you like the resort choice? ;) We enjoyed BC during our May, 2010 trip, and the EP area resorts have a lot to offer.

I welcome lurkers! Glad you enjoyed that TR! :)

Joining in!
BC is such a great resort. SAB is amazing.

Glad you're here! We love both BC and YC! I would say that SAB wins best pool at Disney, hands-down! :thumbsup2

I hold you in high esteem for keeping up with cheerleaders for 15 years! I'm not sure my nerves will be able to hold out that long! ;)

Hi! Welcome! :) I've seen some posts by you on some May threads, and remembered you! Isn't planning for a Disney trip so much fun?

Hi! Welcome! :) I've seen some posts by you on some May threads, and remembered you! Isn't planning for a Disney trip so much fun?

Haha! You've probably seen me on some of the threads on the discount board! I feel like I've practically lived over there lately. But I have given up hope on getting a PIN. I'll enjoy my trip with or without one! :)

Planning is SO much fun! Looking forward to reading all about your plans!!

Love those BC pictures - I can't wait to be there in less than a week! :woohoo: And for some reason, I completely forgot about going to Beaches & Cream for ice cream! I'm so glad you posted that picture of the kitchen sink, because that is definitely on my list for one night!

I hate how they discount the Poly less than the other deluxes! We didn't end up with quite as large of a discount for our honeymoon as we had originally planned because of that. :headache:

Joining in! Those pictures of Beach Club are gorgeous, and I absolutely think you chose the right resort. But I understand -- I'm constantly changing my mind when it comes to ADRs!

Can't wait to read more.

I keep saying we are going to go over to Beaches and Cream and get the Kitchen Sink, but we haven't made it yet. Maybe we will make it this trip since there will be 6 of us.

Hello! I made it over here! You have a beautiful family! I love hearing the plans of families with older kids it gives me something to look forward to. You know what else I look forward to...your review of the Beach Club! I can't wait to stay there, it wasn't in the cards this year but hopefully soon.

You will love moving into the Beach Club and calling it home for 7 days!
We will be moving in for 10 days the end of the month through July 6th.....

I hope you stick with your resort choice! The heat plus SAB is a win/win combo!

I completely understand....I feel like I'm constantly on the look-out for a code of some sorts! Hey, a Disney trip is expensive--We'll take all the help we can get! :thumbsup2

You're going to love Beach Club, Courtney! :lovestruc I can't wait to hear what you think of it. AND, yes, you need to take your entire family over to share a kitchen sink!:)

Count me in!!!

:welcome: Please bear with me!

You should! Maybe with six people, you can actually finish the thing! ;)

Glad you made it over! :) Disney is definitely different with older kids, but it's still fun every time! :)

We really enjoyed Beach Club during our May 2010 trip!

10 days would be glorious! :goodvibes

Well, before I can get to ADRs, there has been a snag thrown into our plans!

When I booked this trip, I was planning on Elizabeth going on her senior trip ( a cruise) from May 21-May 25. The plan was for her to return on that Friday, and then we would all leave out on Saturday, as a family for Disney.

She came home yesterday, and told me that the senior trip plan had changed, and that now they have decided on a beach trip. However, they plan to return Saturday, instead of Friday. AND, she says to me....."We wouldn't leave before Saturday night anyway would we?" WHAT? :confused3 "No," I inform her---The plan was to leave early Saturday morning, and drive to Orlando all in one day, arriving Saturday evening, and staying off-site.

SO, now I'm left trying to figure out what to do. I see two options---

1. Bump the vacation back one day. Wait for her to arrive home Saturday, then turn around, and leave early Sunday morning. This will push our trip to May 28-June 3 (Monday-Sunday).

OR

2. Leave the vacation as is. She will leave the beach Saturday morning and start north, and we would leave our home in north Alabama the same morning, and begin driving south. We would have to plan to pass at some time. AND, here's the snag--We have to pass before we get past Montgomery, but she's gone past Montgomery. Crazy isn't it? :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Hmmm....that's quite a dilemma. I guess my decision would be based on just how coordinated the timing would need to be. Will Elizabeth be coming back in a big group, or would her travel time be a little more flexible? If there's some flexibility I would probably go with meeting up with her, but if the timing would have to be exact, I think I would vote for just leaving Sunday. :confused3

Joining in! Yay for returning to Disney. I just went in Dec after taking a two year break. It feels so amazing to be back after such a long gap.:goodvibes

ARGH!!! Don't you hate it when things outside of your control affect all of the careful planning and precise timing you have planned.

I think I would push the trip back a day, give Elizabeth a little time at home in between the beach trip and the Disney trip, and leave on Sunday.

Especially if you/she needs to do some laundry if she will be wearing some of the same clothes for both trips.

Hi! :wave2: Good to see you again! So, you took a break, as well?! I am so excited to go back---It will have been two years exactly for us, too. :)

There will be some degree of coordination, involved! That's the troubling part!

Especially if you/she needs to do some laundry if she will be wearing some of the same clothes for both trips.

Well, she will need a lot of the same clothes, but the condo at the beach will have a washer/dryer. If we decide to meet her, she'll have to be responsible enough to take care of some laundry herself the day before! (She is heading to college in the fall, so I guess it might be good practice!) :)
