We got our Mickey Mail yesterday and I love the new luggage tags!

Sorry you are dealing with allergies! Those can put a damper on things big time!

It's coming !! :goodvibes

I know.....That number on my fridge went to 29 this morning! :)

Wheee hoooo!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can you believe we'll be there in a month? :cool1:

Oh, moving into the weeks *is* exciting!

It will be *days* before I know it! :woohoo:

I've missed so much!!! Your first 3 days sounds great! FOTLK makes me teary too and we have never walked the trail so I'm looking forward to that.

Love watching the gorillas at the end of the trail! :thumbsup2

 YAY for Mickey Mail!

It's going by quickly, isn't it? As much as I want the days to fly by, I start thinking about DD graduating high school, and I want those days to slow down! :sad1:

Sorry I've been missing (work, boss being ill, engagement and then going to Florida have got me so far behind on everyone's TR's. I love the new luggage tags...very cute. Sorry about the new best friend -- allergy medicine.

Hope you are feeling better.

Love love love that countdown on your fridge - may have to 'borrow' that idea!

Also love those luggage tags. I don't think we get those in the UK. :(

Can't wait until Tuesday when we can say, "We're going to WDW *this* month!!!":cool1:
It must be hard having your first child graduate high school (I was that kid once too ;) )

Hurray for the move into weeks/days!!!

It's funny how you wait for the ticker to change from months to weeks, and then when it happens, you can't wait for it to move on to days! :)

TODAY is Tuesday, so hey....WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD THIS MONTH! :yay:

Just look at your ticker would ya. It's now down to just weeks and not months! :cool1:

I know.... Pretty cool, huh? :cool1:

That Polynesian ticker is looking pretty good! :cool1:

I always think when the number gets to 30, the time truly does zoom by!

I think you're exactly right! It's just like school---once the first of May comes, it seems as if the next three weeks of school fly by! :hyper:

Today is the first day of May, so you know what that means? I can now say that I’m going to Disney World this month! :woohoo: It also means I need to get moving with my plans.

So far, we’ve had Day 1-Sunday at Animal Kingdom. Day 2 on Monday, Memorial Day at Epcot. For Day 3, Tuesday, we will be heading over to….

The current posted hours for DHS are 9-9, but I’m hoping for an extension of hours. For some reason, Disney extended hours for the first three weeks of May, but stopped short of making any changes for Memorial Day weekend and the week after.

I hope that we will leave the Poly by 8 a.m. (I already hear some of you laughing about this and saying, “Wishful thinking!”) We will take the bus, even though we will have our own car. DH goes on “strike” from driving when we’re at Disney!

What we do first when we get into the park depends on how early we get there, and how quickly we get into the park. ~~ Leading the pack in? Then it will be right to TSM to grab a fastpass and ride stand-by. From there it will be down Sunset Blvd. to ToT. Afterwards, hopefully, it will be time to grab another fastpass, which will be for RnRC! ~~ Last ones in as part of the morning rush? Then we’ll probably head straight to RnRC and ToT to ride. Afterwards we’ll rush over to TSM to grab a fastpass-which by that time, will probably be for a return time of 4 p.m.!

DHS has always been one of our favorite parks, so I found it funny that when I started trying to think of what I just HAD to do, there were so few things I listed!

These are our MUST DO’s:

1. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (Redneck Photopass !) :lmao:

2. Tower of Tower

3. Toy Story Mania

4. Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage—LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I watch it EVERY time we’re there!

5. The Great Movie Ride

6. Animation Academy

IF we have time, and so are inclined, these could be worked in the day:

1. Lights! Motors! Action! ---I could care less about this, but DH loves it!

2. American Idol Experience---We’ve liked going here in the past--- nice, dark air-conditioned spot to cool off in for about 40 minutes. But I hear they’ve been having trouble even getting people to be a part of the show, so we’ll just see how it goes!

There are two things at DHS that we haven’t done in YEARS. I think it may be time to definitely experience these shows again---Muppets-3-D and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show!

Of course, at some time, we’ll make time to meet up with some old friends:

We have a late lunch reservation that day for Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater.

The girls and I ate here during our spring break trip back in 2010, but the boys were not with us then. I thought that they would like it, so they’re going to get a chance to experience it this trip. It’s really nothing to write home about, and I would never put it on my “Best food ever eaten at Disney World” list, but the atmosphere is fun, and everyone will enjoy the experience, AND, OF COURSE, the chocolate milkshakes!

There is always some shopping to be done in DHS. I’m sure at some point we will hit up some of the stores and see what we can find.

I know that we will definitely watch “Fantasmic!” that night.

It is in a close tie with “Wishes” as our favorite nighttime event. :goodvibes After eating the big lunch, dinner will probably be hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy in the F! theater while waiting for the show!

You are not the only one hoping for an extension of hours near Memorial day.

I wonder what numbers Disney is looking at!

DHS is one of our favorite parks too, and F! is our favorite Nighttime Event. I also love Beauty and the Beast, every time I see it I mentally kick myself for missing it on Broadway. I think its great you all like thrill rides... I'm not big on thrill rides but I know I will have to bite the bullet when my son gets tall enough.

Great plans, Michelle. I would add one thing...."One Man's Dream" if you haven't seen it. I'm with you...love Beauty & The Beast (I just posted an update about it with lots of pictures from our girls trip).

We ate at Sci Fi and really enjoyed it.

We will take the bus, even though we will have our own car. DH goes on “strike” from driving when we’re at Disney!

Mine, too! Even though we drive to WDW, we've always taken the buses everywhere. Once the car is parked at the resort, it doesn't move until we check-out, LOL!

DHS plans sound great. And yay for being able to say your trip is "THIS month"! :woohoo:

So, I totally thought I was subbed to you PTR, and then I realized... I wasn't. I've got a lot of catching up to do :rolleyes1!

On a better note... 3.5 week dance, :dance3: :dance3:Woo Hoo!

Sounds like a great day at DHS! I never really used to like the park but now that TOT and RNRC are a couple of my favorites, I've grown to love it. Not to mention that's where my sister worked during her CP. :)

I always love AIE too. But yeah, you have to wonder how much longer they'll be able to keep it up. They've cut back on the number of shows each day which means the finale isn't as long either. :(

Great DHS plans. I love DHS, although it will probably be a different experience this time with a 14-month-old in tow! I really like your peace-sign shirt. I saw those at AK a while back and searched all over but never found one in my size. :( It's so cute.

That's sad that they're having trouble finding people for the AI show. I always wondered how many people actually audition every day, especially during the slow season.

Confession: we've never seen Fantasmic! I've heard it's pretty intense (?), so we may save it for a future trip when DS is older.

"This month" - how exciting! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great day at Hollywood Studios!! I love the Beauty and the Beast musical!! I think we saw it twice on our last trip! Its so fabulous!! We haven't done the Animation Academy, but plan to! It looks so cool!!

I said I'd let you know about the MS math job. Well, I didn't get it, but I felt pretty priviledged to get an interview. The principal told me they had 90+ applicants and they interviewed 6! Next time...

The rumor mill is twirling around the idea that Beauty and the Beast may be replaced - I think it might have said with a Tangled show(?). Can't remember where I read it, and I do think there are better things than Tangled to replace it with, but who knows?

Fantasmic is the ultimate way to end a Hollywood day! :cool1: Love that big white boat full of good Disney friends!
