Maybe offsite guests will be able to book through the website

Disney has informed cm's that "In the future, after MyMagic+ is fully implemented, all Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort will have the opportunity to make FastPass+ selections in advance for each day of theme park admission that they have linked to their My Disney Experience accounts. "

They've also reiterated that there are no plans to charge for FP+.

Great! :thumbsup2

That is great news!

I will believe this when it happens. Their is money to be made with FP+. You don't dump 1 billion in a system without expecting to make a sizable return, yes yield management but their are other ways they could of imposed if that was the reasoning for MM+. Disney has not grown to be the company they are by letting chances to charge for something slip through their fingers.

Until I see an official release I don't trust any of it.

Disney has said from the beginning that FP+ would be included in theme park admission for everyone.

I had sources at one point in time...can't find the link right now, but it was posted in an article in (I think) attractions magazine.

That sounds really good! I do wonder how they will implement this but it sounds like a great thing for offsite guests. :)

Yes they said FP+ would be available to all parks for all guests. But Disney has yet to say off-site can pre-book or so they will not be selling more FP+ slots at some point.

Look at AK off-site guest have been testing(cough implementing cough) how the system will work for off-site visitors. Same day bookings. Till Disney says otherwise I am more inclined to believe what is actually happening than a post on a message board. As for never charging for FP+, yeah and I saw the Yeti at EE move last trip...

I didn't say anything about prebooking..I was responding to the assertion that they will charge for FP+ use.

This was stated in attractions magazine back in Jan 2013 (link is now dead, but I've been copying and pasting this source since October, and the link was working then..)

UPDATE – 2 p.m. Jan. 7, 2013 -Disney has released a few more details:
• Disney FastPass+ service is included with theme park admission.
• The MagicBand is initially available to select Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests and guests who purchase other specific products.
• Other guests will be able to use their standard ticket to access the benefits of MyMagic+, such as making FastPass+ selections on the My Disney Experience website and app.

Obviously there's no mention of prebooking, so I'm not commenting on that aspect - but Disney HAS officially stated that using FP+ is included with park admission.

Yes but they have left open the possibility to sell extra FP+ slots besides the ones given with a regular ticket. I don't mean charge for the initial 3 I mean charge for extra slots or to remove tiers.

Possibly. Until I see a formal announcement from disney, though, I'm going with what they have already said.
