Hi Everyone

Thank you for stopping by I am a long time lurker on the Dis but have never really had the courage to pop up and say hello, but here I go...

HELLO!!!

Phew glad that is over with :rotfl2:

So I am starting my family PTR really early because I am that excited for my families first trip to the world next year. When I was younger I was lucky enough to go with my parents 4 times but once I had to start paying for myself I couldn't do it but because Disney runs through my veins I knew I would be back and I am finally returning after 16 years! (Man I feel old)

So let me start with the cast first on the list is little old me...

(By the way I only looked like a Pirate as I was taking charity calls this isn't my usual face :rotfl:)
I am 29 years old and work full time in a call centre the job can be mind numbingly boring however the people I work with are some of my best friends therefore it makes life a little bit easier.
My favourite Disney films are: Lion King, Oliver and Company and Tangled.
I love any type of ride and when I was last at the world Rock N Roll had just opened (yes I saw Aerosmith very cool!) and this became my instant fav!
My main aim before I go away is my weight I am working on loosing as much as I can so far lost just over one stone so I shall keep you updated with that!
Oh forgot to mention 22nd November I am getting married (eeeekkkk) to my wonderful boy....

There he is this is T as I call him (or T-Bot if I'm in a good mood) he is 28 and we have been together for 6 years. He has never been to Disney World or even left Europe so he isn't as enthusiastic as me but excited all the same.
He is an old school Disney fan and loves Robin Hood and Jungle Book. (Oh and he doesn't admit it but he loves Tangled too especially I Have a Dream)

Last but certainly no means least is the light of our life Munch..

She only turned 4 on Friday just gone and is our treasure she (if you can't tell) loves Frozen, but also loves Mickey Mouse. She is also a fan of the junior shows such as Doc McStuffen and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. With Munch we have a little bit of a stumbling block whereby she hates characters that you take your picture with think they might be too big for her she runs away terrified however we are hoping with more exposure to them in the run up by October 2015 she should be fine.

That is my little family of 3. Thank you for reading...I am going to have 100's of questions for the experienced peeps out there so please stay tuned

The Plan...so far

At the moment we are hoping to do to a moderate resort as that would mean free quick service dining, the question really is which one?
We don't drive so we would like the easiest for buses etc. We will be going for 14 nights (eeekkk!!!) so we are planning a couple of pool days so a nice pool area is quite important. Looking at the moderate resorts I can't choose...Can anyone help me please??

The moderate resorts are:
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

A few thoughts-

I have stayed in Coronado and Riverside and I have visited all but the Caribbean Beach, but my sister has stayed there. Of the moderate resorts, my favorite is Riverside. The food offerings are good for a moderate and it has a good layout.

All the moderates have external halls and a very large layout. The smallest layout is probably the French Quarter and the largest is the Caribbean or Fort Wilderness. Room placement is very important when booking a moderate. Your travel time of October should give you a better chance of getting a special room location request.

The moderates will have multiple pools, but only one is themed. Your room location will determine how far you have to walk to eat or swim. After all the walking in the parks it can be difficult to ask a five year old to walk some more.

My absolute favorite resort it the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is not a moderate though.
