Family and I are booked into AS Music for a 5 night paskage beginning June 9. We booked our vacation thru Southwest Air Vacations -a room/air paskage. As the time is now at hand I have thought about upgrading resort. I called SW yesterday and they said it was too late to make a change. They said I couldn't because it would involve making anew reservation, one NOT including the sweet deal I got on airfare.
Has anyone ever made a change like this? I notice that there are vacancies at places like WL and AKL. I would be glad to kick in afew extra bux, but I am totally unwilling to reconfigure my whole trip at this satge of the game. Do you think CRO could help? Or would they not be able to since I booked thru SW?
Thanks in advance!!

David

Unfortunately CRO will not be able to help on a package booked through another airline/travel company. This is why I always book my airfair and accomodations seperately in case a new deal comes up. You would have to make changes through Southwest.

Have a great trip!

Rather then mess things up if you got a good price for when you are going keep it. We all tend to change our minds like the weather no matter what hotel or package we get. Just go and have a FUNtastic time. That isn't a bad hotel, not like a delux but I have stayed there in the past and it was nice. :D remeber, you arent moving in for life, it is a few days out of your life. :D

Check-in at your ASMu and if it doesn't meet your needs, simply call CRO from your room and see about a different resort. Once you've arrived, and if you aren't satisfied, I can't see them denying you a change of venue IF you are willing to spring for the difference. Be sure to take your rates along with you (and any applicable codes you may wish to apply) so you have a good idea of what you are willing to pay. It should be fairly painless--Disney certainly doesn't want someone staying in a resort that isn't happy there AND I'm sure will take your money on an upgrade! :D

Zip,

It sounds like we may have gotten the same "sweet" deal. I also booked thru SWA at CSR. and was looking to upgrade to WL but was told the same as you. Well the way I look at it for the price I paid, I'd be happy ro sleep in the parking lot. I certainly am not going to tempt the reservations gods and screw up the package that I got. Just think of all the extra "stuff" you can buy if you just stay put!

And I know that this package just blew the FTP away!

LOL... Actually this whole trip is like an unexpected blessing. When I booked it back in March I could not beliebe how cheap it was!!. Actually I am looking forward to staying at ASMusic. The LAST thing I want to do is rattle the cages of the 'reservation gods' :) .
I was just thinking since I had accumulated afew extra dollars that Mickey might like to have them. We aren't really the "sit-down and eat" kind of family right now due to kids ages. we've done character meals in the past; that's not really something we're interested in this trip. So it seemed like a resort upgrade might be one little treat I could pull off for the family.
Oh well, guess that money can go towrad something else out here in the real world.

Can't wait to be at WDW in just a few short days:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :jester:
